Cindy's Point of View
I approached my brother hesitantly, afraid to confront him of what I had found out.
"Derrick?" I asked quietly.
He turned to me, his brown eyes gleaming with happiness, which quickly turned to concern when he saw me.
"Cindy?" He asked worriedly, "Are you okay?"
I nodded mutely as I ignored the pounding in my head an the churning of my stomach.
"Mom told me," I stated bluntly, "She told me what was inside of you."
He frowned.
"Okay?" He asked in confusion.
"It's inside of me, now," I said lowly, hoping no one would over hear.
His eyes widened.
"It can't be," He laughed nervously, "I told you not to look into my wolf's eyes. And you didn't. And I've been dealing with the side effects. I feel," He paused, frowning in confusion, "I feel fine."
I nodded at him as realization dawned on his face before terror settled in.
"I need to get you to mom," He said hurriedly, grabbing my hand.
I winced as the throbbing in my head became more consistent when he touched me, to the point where I could hear a loud ringing in my ears.
I snatched my hand from his grip and looked down at it, seeing the red mark as if he had burned me.
I took a step back away from him.
He did this to me.
"Cindy," He said in a low voice, taking a step towards me.
It angered me that he had to be cautious around me, as if I were about to snap any second.
And that's exactly what I did-I snapped.
"Don't touch me," I growled when he reached for me.
He ignored me and gripped my shoulder.
Mistake number two.
I growled, something in me snapping as I grabbed his wrist. I spun around and I threw him with an incredible force into a tree.
My jaw dropped along with many others as I stared at my now unconscious brother.
I gasped in horror as tears gathered in my eyes.
"Cindy!" Pierce called as he jogged up to me worriedly. He reached for me.
"Don't," I said lowly. I didn't want to hurt him too.
He frowned, his eyes showing hurt and concern.
"What's wrong?" He asked worriedly, his eyes scanning over my body.
And then his eyes landed on Derrick. His gaze barely took in the scene before he pulled me into his arms.
I sobbed into his chest as I wrapped my arms around him.
What was wring with me?
'Face the truth, darling,' A sickly sweet voice said in my mind, reminding me of something I've heard before, 'Your a demon. I am too. And you have to put up with me. Let's just hope you survive before I am finished with you.'
I just pressed my face harder into Pierce's chest and sobbed.
