Cindy's Point of View

I laid across my bed, reading one of my Nora Roberts books and listening to music.

Through the music, I heard a tap.

I ignored it.

But when it came again, I pulled off my head phones and looked around the room.

Tap.

The noise was coming from my window and I hesitantly got out of bed.

I slowly approached my window, having no weapon if I needed to defend myself.

What of it were Tyler? What if he wanted more than he already took?

Tap.

Annoyed with the damn tapping, I swung the patio doors open angrily.

I heard his laugh and an instant smile lit up my face.

"What are you doing here?" I called down to him from my third story balcony.

"I am doing what every teenage guy does for his girlfriend," He shrugged, smiling brightly at me.

"And what is that?" I asked, smiling slightly.

He sighed over dramatically.

"To pick up his girlfriend at midnight and go on a date," He smiled cheekily up at me.

I smiled brightly, allowing the butterflies to flow through my stomach as he called me his girlfriend.

"So original," I teased as I disappeared back into my room, grabbing my jacket and slipping on a pair of black skinny jeans, having already put on a grey and white striped tank top. I slid on my white sandals.

I flew down the stairs, feeling giddy and happy.

I opened the front door quietly and slipped out, careful not to wake my parents.

I turned around, ready to step off of the porch and round the side of the house to meet Pierce, only to have him standing in front of me.

He slid an arm around my waist, pulling my body flush against his as his lips crashed onto mine in a soft kiss.

I groaned softly as my body went numb and I wrapped my arms around his neck, curling my fingers in his hair as our lips moved against each others.

All thoughts of Tyler slipped away when he touched me.

I watched as my only child quietly snuck down the stairs, a wide smile on her face.

I sighed lowly as I swiftly followed her, wanting to see who mystery guy was.

It was well near midnight, the moon shown brightly and the Goddess stirred within me.

I pulled back the curtain of the left window beside the front door just as Cindy shut the door softly behind her.

I wanted to both laugh and cry at what I saw.

My baby had found her soul mate.

Her body melted into Pierce's, one of the Alpha's Hunter was working with. Their lips moved together, reminding me of Hunter and I before the accident.

Unconsciously, a hand went to my stomach as I remembered the child I had lost. And probably many more because of that day.

I could have children, it was possible. But I couldn't carry a baby full term.

I felt his presence behind me, and then his arms wrapped around my torso.

"We still have two children," He mumbled, looking past me and at Cindy, "Derrick is still out there. We just have to wait for him to want to be found."

I sighed.

"I know," I whispered, "But I wish he would just come home already."

"We need to tell Cindy soon."

I only nodded, not wanting to think about her reaction when she finds out she never lost her only sibling.

I focused my attention on my daughter.

Pierce was whispering things to her, causing her smile to become wider and her face to flush a tomato red.

"I'm going to kill him," Hunter growled lowly when he noticed the guy was his colleague.

He went to open the door, but I gripped his bicep and pulled him back to the window.

"Listen," I shushed him as I could hear my daughters voice through the thin sheet of glass.

"-n't know," She mumbled lowly, casting her eyes downward, "My parents will kill me if I come home late. It's already late as it is."

Pierce cupped her chin, gently forcing her to look up at her.

They looked adorable.

"I will take the blame," Pierce said hesitantly, "Your dad is going to gut me though."

Pierce laughed uneasily.

"Damn right," Hunter muttered, causing me to slap his chest.

I glared at him, causing him to go pale. But he didn't say anything else.

"No you won't," Cindy said, standing on the tips of her toes so that she was tall enough to at least look him in the eyes.

Pierce chuckled, wrapping an arm around her waist and pulling her body so that her feet weren't touching the ground and she was eye level with him.

She smiled and pressed her lips to his.

Time to intervene. At least before Hunter interrupts.

So I slipped outside.

"Will you go out with me?" He asked, pouting his swollen lips as he stared at me.

I giggled at his expression.

"I don't know," I teased.

He brought his face closer to mine, causing my breath to hitch in my throat.

"Please?" He begged, his lips brushing against mine.

"I don't know," I mumbled lowly, looking down, "My parents will kill me if I come home late. It's already late as it is."

He cupped my chin, causing me to look up at him.

"I will take the blame," Pierce said hesitantly, "Your dad is going to gut me though."

He laughed uneasily, shifting his weight onto his right foot.

My heart swelled with love for him then. Anyone who was willing to confront my father was at least my friend. But putting up with him was hard. He was deadly scary. Who's father isn't?

"No you won't," I said softly, standing on the tips of my toes so that I could at least try to look him in the eyes.

Pierce chuckled, wrapping an arm around my waist and pulling my body towards his so that my feet weren't touching the ground and I was eye level with him.

I smiled and pressed my lips to his, moaning at the instant fireworks and warmness that spread through my body.

"You can go," A soft voice said, causing me to jump from Pierce instantly and blushing furiously.

"Seriously?" I asked happily when her words settled in, "But won't dad be pissed?"

Mom laughed, crossing her arms over her chest.

"I'll take care of your father," She smiled widely, "Now go. Have fun."

I ran up to her, wrapping my arms around her in a quick hug.

"I love you, Mom," I said.

"Love you too, baby girl," She said, almost sadly.

And then I turned and Pierce led me to his car.
