vhope!Vampire AU.
---
"two bodies were discovered in an alley, near downtown. the police believe the person responsible for this is the same with the other cases this month."
hoseok flicks his eyes up, looking at the tv.
"again? isn't that the third time this week?" namjoon grunts, continuing to slurp on his noodles, lazily swinging his head back as he swallows.
"all victims have bite marks on their necks, witnesses believe it's the work of a vampire, but it isn't confirmed."
hoseok shrugs, taking a bite out of his sandwhich. "maybe the vampire's getting hungry." he mumbles.
"psh," namjoon smirks at him. "yeah, like vampires actually exist." he rolls his eyes, kicking hoseok from under the table.
"what if they do?" hoseok says, pointing his sandwhich at namjoon.
"that's beyond science." namjoon then points his chopsticks at hoseok. "how could a being live off of blood?"
hoseok laughs, slouching back into his chair. a being could live just drinking blood, because, as a matter of fact, hoseok does. hoseok doesn't drink for pleasure or anything, but compared to eating sandwiches and burger steaks, blood is just different. he's sampled blood from different animals, and human's are definitely the best.
the perfect balance between sweet and salty - it's just delicious. hoseok doesn't even bother covering up his tracks, and the police aren't even on his tail. the police haven't found the murderer. nobody has, and hoseok makes sure nobody knows he's a vampire, not even his friends.
a buzz comes from namjoon's phone, and he smiles grossly at the screen.
"seokjin?" hoseok gags, quickly feeling disgusted because of the pair of lovers. namjoon and seokjin have always been gross. so gross.
"my boyfriend cooked me dinner." namjoon grins. hoseok makes vomiting noises.
namjoon then runs out of the shop, screaming "hot pot" as he leaves. hoseok's left there, slowly eating his sandwiches which has lost appeal to him. they've gotten quite bland. he never liked sandwiches anyways.
he stands up, and kicks the chair back into the table, heading to the cashier to pay up. that certain cashier is kim taehyung - and he's really cute. really, really cute. hoseok's first thought of him was a next target, but after he flashed that wide rectangular smile, hoseok immedietly fell in love.
"where'd namjoon go?" taehyung asked. hoseok had already became friends with him since he comes to the shop so often.
"boyfriend." hoseok chuckles, taking out his card, and handing it to taehyung.
"would you like the receipt?" taehyung smiles, and hoseok feels a shiver up his spine.
"no thanks, baby." he grins again, and trots out the door.
taehyung blushes at the name. "hey! order something other than sandwiches next time!" he shouts at hoseok, waving the receipt at him.
---
it wasn't unusual for hoseok to be touchy-feely taehyung, or have nicknames for him. same for taehyung. they grew quite close considering the number of times hoseok had been there - wether to hang out with his friends or just see taehyung. he always talked to taehyung. always.
hoseok's laying in bed when his stomach suddenly growls, and he grows hungry for blood. he rolls his eyes, punching his stomach lightly. he doesn't feel like hunting right now, but if he ignores his stomach he's going to endure hell. a vampire's starvation is like burning in a house full of flames.
