FIFTEEN:
shallow waters.

KALI IS ASLEEP in her bed when her phone starts buzzing. she decided against going to school for the day and was still trying to figure out what to tell her parents. kali turns over and grabs her phone. it was a text from an unknown number. she opens the message and her heart drops.

it's a picture of sarah and john b.

kali sits up in her bed and moves her hair out of her face. she types a quick 'what the fuck? who is this?' a text from kie saying 'WTF is this you???' is seen on the screen. kali nervously picks at her nails. is it truly them?

she had been hoping for this day when she was freshly grieving over loosing sarah but now that it's actually here, kali can't believe it. all she wanted to do in this moment is believe that this was them and find sarah. she missed her best friend and wanted more than nothing to see her again.

a ding from kalis phone snaps her out of her thoughts. 'is jj there?' was all that was send. kali couldn't say anything because she was at home but a 'im here bro' is what jj types back. 'did you pimp my short board?' the unknown person types back. kali chuckles and nods her head. it's him.

john b and sarah are alive.

tears of joy fall from kali's eyes. her best friend wasn't dead. she was alive and well and safe with john b. another ding came from her phone. she sniffled and looked at her phone 'laying super low in nassau' was what popped up. she was lost on how they got all the way to bahamas but she didn't really care. her friends were safe and alive and that was enough for her.

kali looked to her phone while john b typed. 'can you clear my name? wanna come home' he typed. kali inhaled sharply and typed back 'was already working on it' she bit her nails out of nervousness 'be in touch. p4l' is what she received back. kali smiled softly.

it was hard for her to try and clear john b's name. she thought that with her being pregnant with rafes baby, he would turn his life around for the better. but she couldn't get him to do it. rafe was extremely stubborn and this was a hard moment for him to be stubborn. kali loved him, she really did, but she couldn't be with a murder.

kali sighed and wiped her face. now was the best time for her to tell her parents about the baby. she got out of bed and made her way to her parents bedroom. kali knocked softly "come in" her mother said softly. she walks in and sits on her parents bed. her mother was just watching tv and her father was on his laptop "hey baby what's up?" her mom said.

kali nervously picked at her fingers "i need to talk to you guys.." she said trying not to cry her mother sat up "what's wrong kali?" she said with a concerned look on her face. kali's father looked over to the two girls. he closed his laptop and walked over to the bed "whats up baby" he asks.

a stray tear falls from kali's eye and she wipes it quickly. kali sniffles and sighs. she pulls all the pregnancy tests out of her hoodie pocket and with out words hands them to her parents. her mom looks to her with her jaw dropped a bit and her father scratched his beard "you serious kali?" he asks and looks to her. she sniffles and looks at her her father "i'm sorry.." was all she could say.
