    Chapter Thirteen

We had been walking forever in my book, trying to find our way back to the sight. By the time we were almost over the river, we heard a tent unzipping. It must’ve been my dads, or maybe Jada’s.

But we all hoped over the lake like frogs, and sat in the camping chairs like we hadn’t even been gone, like we just woke up and decided to come outside. At the most, they were going to think we were smoking. But of course we wouldn’t do that.

Joey ran into his tent, his parents were still asleep, I guess. Justin followed. Vince did the same, and so did Castello and Cruise. So it was left that it was just us girls. Kirsten, Bri, Selena, Jada, and I.

“Morning, Mr. Blue,” I smiled my polite smile.

“No what are ya’ll doing up so early,” he laughed, “pretty girl I thought you liked your sleep.”

“I do,” Bri smiled, “but…I wanted to spend time with my sister before she leaves this afternoon.”

“Right,” Jada agreed, “I wanted to talk to my sister before I had to leave.”

“Okay,” he said suspiciously, “but I’m watching you, pint.”

“I got two hours of sleep last night,” I laughed, “I really hope we don’t have a concert tonight. Because if we don’t I’m sleeping till two…tomorrow!”

“I don’t blame you,” Jada smiled, “I haven’t gotten this small amount of sleep since…since…I think the first night of tour.”

“I bet,” my sister said, “when is the tour bus going to be here?”

                   “Two,” I smiled, “why?”

Bri and Selena looked at each other and back, “Because we’re getting a ride back to Wal-Mart in the tour bus, remember?”

“I heard nothing of this,” I laughed, “nobody tells us anything!” That’d be just grand. The ride was like ten hours, but I guess that was cool.

“Let’s get everything un-set,” my mom smiled, “so we can be ready in time.”

We were ready in time. As soon as the fire was put out, the bus pulled up, and we put all of our stuff under the bus. This would be the first time our families saw our tour bus, and I thought it would be so difficult giving them the grand tour. There were thirty-four of us all together going to be on the bus.

I gave Selena her present: I got her a new pink iPod nano. I gave my mommy her cute diamond necklace, and my dad the football game he had been wanting. I gave Parker a PSP and Alana one hundred dollar gift card to Game Stop. And just to make it fair, I gave Andrea a few bows I had up in my closet I never wore.

So we did it to the best of our ability with the bus moving. Some people (the dads) went and watched our giant television, and then decided it’d be fun to play video games. The moms wanted to know more about the tour, so they all chatted in the back bed room (the only room with seats attached to the walls) and chatted with my Aunt Kelly. But the siblings? They wanted to know more about the beds. I flipped open the television system and let them check up on my dock and game set and stuff. I tried to fit all my siblings in my bunk, and it worked, but it was cramped, so I let them chill in there while I chilled solo outside with Jada, in the same situation.
