Chapter Ten.

School was dreadful, the constant teasing of Jack and I could drive me to insanity. I'm happy that it's over for today and I'm now lost in Jack's arms on my bed.

"You okay?" He asked and rubbed my back. I hummed softly in reply and snuggled in closer. Thankfully for him, Jack was still friends with his friends. Even though Jack's friends are literal dickheads, I'm happy that he still has them. He told me that they tease him occasionally, but nothing like how nearly everybody else teases me.

"As much as I'd love to lie here with you for the rest of the day, why don't we do something?" Jack suggested.

"But I'm so comfy." I whined and moved closer to him, if that was even possible.

"C'mon lets go on a walk or something." He said and moved forward, so he was sitting up.

"That that involves standing." I complained. He chuckled at me. He got off my bed and I guess I had to too.

We walked around for a while in the local park, with our hands intertwined, swaying back and forth as we walked along the concrete path.

"It's so peaceful." I said happily and leaned into his shoulder lightly.

"Hey Pauley, is that the dude you were on about?" Somebody whispered from somewhere. I heard brief whispering but I ignored it all and focused on the beautiful boy next to me. Suddenly I felt somebody push me from behind,

"Hey!" I yelled and turned around. I looked and saw a boy I knew was Aaron Pauley and another who I didn't know the name of, he had deep black hair and very defined cheekbones.

"Do not push her again." Jack argued.

"What's with you Jack?" Aaron asked, "you used to be cool, but now you're not only a fag, you're also, dating a delusional freak like him!" The guy next to him chuckled. Jack stormed towards him and went to throw a punch but Aaron gripped onto Jack's arms to held him back.

"Hey Jacky boy, would you like to see your... thing to be given the treatment he deserves for being such a disgusting creature?" Aaron asked in a sinister tone. My face softened and I took a step back from both of them. Jack struggled against Aaron's right grip, but he couldn't get away. "Andy, please teach lil Gayskank here a lesson, will you?" He asked the guy next to him, which I had know learnt that his name was Andy. I don't even know this guy, he doesn't know me, so what is his excuse to hurt me?!

Andy came towards me, while cracking his knuckles. I didn't move, there was no point, this was my obvious fate. So many punches were thrown, so many kicks kicked. I couldn't feel most of my body. I was numb. I didn't know what covered my face more, blood or maybe it was my tears. Andy finally stopped the violent beating and walked towards Aaron, who still had held of my, now furious, boyfriend.

Aaron let go of Jack, and straight away Jack rushed towards my beaten body that laid on the floor. Jack lifted my head up and I was surprised to see that his eyes were filled with tears. Aaron and Andy walked away, as if nothing happened.

"Oh God." He choked out and caressed my cheek. "I'm so sorry." He cried. I didn't speak, I stayed quite. Jack whipped his phone out of his pocket and dialled a number. He spoke a few muffed words, but then spoke a little louder into the phone, however I couldn't hear him. I just fell into darkness.
