He has a plan.
A plan built to tear a man's life apart - vein by vein, breath by breath.
From that cursed day, all he's ever wanted was to ruin him beyond recognition.
But death? Death is silence. Death is peace. And peace is mercy.

He watched me.
In a way that made me feel his gaze all over my skin, sending a shiver down my spine.
His eyes moved ever so slowly from my feet to my eyes, then down again—where my arm was hooked with Yuvaansh's.
"Why does that man look like he's plotting my murder? Such a shameful brother." Yuvaansh shook his head in disappointment, but my eyes were now fixated on someone else.
The woman beside him.
They weren’t clasping arms, but still, the closeness said enough.
She was also in black—a black ball gown that shimmered under the dim light. I could only see her long brown curls as she talked to another woman standing near, her back to me.
"Let go," I muttered, pulling my arm away from Yuvaansh without looking away from Adhvik.
"There's nothing. Let's go into the food area," Yuvaansh said, leading in one direction, but I didn’t follow.
Because Adhvik now had his phone pressed to his ear, probably calling someone.
And with the way he watched me during it, that call couldn’t have been about business or anything personal.
It had to be related to me. Maybe his little rented goons or something, ordering them to make sure I didn’t make it out alive.
He said something, then pulled the phone down. Finally, his eyes left mine—and I let out a breath I didn’t even know I was holding.
"It's boring here, Aashvi," Yuvaansh repeated, and I nodded, taking a step toward him. I was just about to look away from Adhvik when he did something.
