I stared at the screen lazily.
Director: You don't need to come to the office today.
When the hell did I even ask him for a leave that he offered me himself today?
Would he months ago? Even if I was dying of fever? No.
"Carefully." Mrs. Oberoi's voice was clear as Adhvik had the call on speaker, standing beside me.
No, I never invited him near me. Even his presence this early in the morning felt like a weight on my breathing.
I was standing here at the door, angered over the message that ruined my plan of going to the office today.
I was in a dark green shirt and brown pants, ready for work to avoid going to his mother's place, when he came and told me that we have to go.
I agreed not because he said so, but because I had promised her.
She was already on call, instructing him, not to be late, not to do anything stupid, and lastly, to drive carefully.
"Are you stepping out now, or waiting for me to open the door for you?" I sucked in a long breath and looked away from the door.
I wasn’t planning earlier but now, he must.
He sighed, stepped forward, and opened the door. Oh, and he'd of course lose his name if he didn’t step out and close the door back.

I also turned on my heels, ready to go upstairs and do some work on my laptop, when I heard the door open again.
"You're really a pain in the ass." I smirked as he hissed and instantly walked past him.
If it was my first time going somewhere without knowing why, I’d worry.
I stood in front of his car as he sat inside.
I waited there. He looked at me from the window and gave me a done look.
"I can't pamper you more, princess. Get inside yourself, unless you have a broken hand." I rolled my eyes when a car honked, and I looked toward the sound.
