He has a plan.
A plan built to tear a man's life apart - vein by vein, breath by breath.
From that cursed day, all he's ever wanted was to ruin him beyond recognition.
But death? Death is silence. Death is peace. And peace is mercy.
He's not here to...

Aashvi.
Finally, things felt like they were back on track. Not the right track, though-there was never a "right" track for me. It was just the track I'd learned to stay on.
And that feeling came from finally returning to the office. Thankfully, no one tried stopping me when I stepped out this morning.
As if I'd stop even if they did. Am I delusional or I really wouldn't? I don't want to confirm.
Not that it was a nice return, though. Some of the people here had figured out that I wasn't living at my place anymore-and even worse-that I was living at my-not-so-boyfriend's place. The irony of it all.
There were always a few eyes on me, always whispering about me. As if their lives were too perfect to notice anyone else's. I couldn't care less about people whose most exciting thing in the day was discussing my business.
I hadn't put much thought into dressing up like always-just a pale blue shirt tucked half neatly into beige trousers and sleeves rolled to my elbows. My hair was tied up into a loose bun.
"Where's he rushing?" I looked back from our table at Manvi's question to see our manager walking out of the newsroom.
"Probably forgot his lunch in the car again, like always." I sighed.
"Aashvi..." I turned to Ruhaan. "Can you edit this file for me? I worked all night and don't have the energy for it." He slipped his laptop onto the table in front of me, and I nodded.
"Just rest your head down for a bit," I suggested, already seeing the exhaustion in his eyes. I could barely get through my own work, but I did it for him. The least I could do.
Manvi watched me with narrowed eyes. "You have time to do his work?" she complained, arching an eyebrow. "He must've been up all night talking to his girlfriend." I chuckled at her overdramatic tone.
"Why only talking?" Ruhaan smirked, adding fuel to the fire he never saw. "We were doing the things too-"
Before he could finish, she threw her notepad at Ruhaan's face. "Do whatever the hell you want, but don't rot my ears or Aashvi's with that nonsense."
Ruhaan just laughed and winked at me.
"Everyone, may I have your attention please?" Our manager's voice boomed across the room. A collective sigh went up. Another guest, another waste of time.
Anyone with money or a little bit of power was treated like royalty in here, even if they were just here to criticize our work.
I didn't even bother turning around to see who it was this time. The surprise was never good.
"We have the most gracious person on earth today!" Our manager's voice was practically dripping with fake admiration. If I could roll my eyes any harder, I would've pulled a muscle.
