//Jenna's POV//
I was having such a nice dream until a loud crash awoke my slumber.
"Sorry" my best friend, Parker mumbled as he tripped over some books. "Nice one klutz" I said and laughed. "Well if you weren't such a nerd I wouldn't have tripped over those books" Parker scoffed and sat on my bed.
"What's wrong?" I asked. "My parents" Parker mumbled. "Again?" I asked. "They just can't leave me alone, I know my grades suck they don't need to remind me every five seconds!" Parker shouted. "Breath, you can stay the night. Things will clear up in the morning" I said and made room for Parker in my bed.
I had known Parker since we were six so this was completely normal for us, but ever since we entred high school it had become more frequent of him staying at my house. His parents were always on his case, mostly about his grades and drug habits. So Parker would come here to escape his problems.

The next morning I woke up to the sound of my alarm. "Get up!" I said and gave Parker a shove before I got up. "Leave me alone" Parker groaned and pulled the covers over his face. "Fine" I sighed and grabbed my clothes and walked into the bathroom.
"Glory and gore go hand in hand, that's why we're making headlines" I sang along to Lorde as I added shampoo to my hair. Her album pure heroine was beyond amazing.
Once I finished I wrapped my body in a towel and began drying my hair. Once I was done I changed into a pink and yellow tie dye real friends T-shirt with a pair of black skinny jeans and my black and white Sk8-Hi vans. I left my blond hair down and added a bit of mascara before walking out.
"'Bout time" Parker said and walked into the bathroom. I rolled my eyes and started packing my notebooks and books into my backpack. Once everything was in its place I slung it over my shoulders and walked out of my room and into the kitchen.
"Morning mom" I said cheerfully as I entered the kitchen. "Good morning sweetie" Mom said and placed four slices of bread in the toaster. "Good morning Mrs.McDougall" Parker said as he walked in. "I thought I'd heard your voice this morning" Mom said and smiled," have a seat breakfast is almost ready" mom said. Parker smiled and took a seat next to me.
He was wearing a plain white tee with a pair of black skinny jeans, red vans and his famous backwards snapback.
Once we finished we brushed our teeth and then we were out the door. "I'm going to be home late" Mom called out as we walked out the door. "Okay mom" I shouted back. "Party" Parker said and nudged me with his elbow. "We're not cool, we don't have parties" I said and laughed. "We're the real cool kids" Parker said and smiled. "Sure we are" I said sarcastically and rolled my eyes.
