Epilogue - Our Perfect Lives

2 years later

“Daddy we want to go to the park but mummy won’t take us,” Lillie told me, running up to me and pouting cutely as soon as I walked through the door. I picked her up and ruffled her hair slightly.

“Mummy’s tired okay, how about I take you while mummy makes dinner?” I said and the pout on her face was instantly replaced with a large smile and she jumped out my arms and ran off again.

“Daddy is taking us to the park!” She shouted and I couldn’t help smiling at how cute she was. I started walking towards the kitchen and spotted Rebecca leaning against the door frame.

“You spoil them so much” She said smiling and I walked over to press a kiss to her lips.

“Sorry to leave this conversation but I’m off to the park,” I said smirking and she flicked some water at me that was on her fingers from just washing them and I laughed a little.

We were all squashed onto one sofa that night and, to me, it was completely perfect. Ever since that day two years ago at her work things had all become perfect and it didn’t seem like anything could break that anymore. Of course Rebecca and me still had arguments but what married couple don’t.

Yes that’s right, married couple. That was just one of the things that had made everything better over these years. Our wedding had been perfect and once again, things had just got better from that day onwards.

Rebecca had even started speaking to her parents again who now feel bad for all they put her through when they should’ve been the ones she should’ve been able to rely on to support her.  They have even spoken to me, which is quite an achievement, after all I was the reason they stopped talking in the first place, but they are happy for us now and want to try and be the good grandparents that I believe they can be.

And maybe Rebecca is right that I spoil the girls loads but I want to, I want them to know that I would do anything for them and that I will always be here for them. They always think I’m going to leave forever when I have to go away for publicity or on tour so I try as often as I can to get the three of them flown out to wherever I am.

I was snapped out of my thoughts as Annabelle came and sat on me tiredly. I wrapped my arms around her small body as she closed her eyes. Eventually she fell asleep like that and I carried her to bed. Soon after, as I was putting Annabelle into bed, I noticed Rebecca walking in and doing the same with Lillie. After we said goodnight to them we both walked out and sat back down on the sofa.

“I love you,” I whispered into her ear as she sat with her back against my chest and I kissed her temple gently.

“I love you too,” She whispered back smiling which caused me to smile. It was true; I did love her, so much.

“3 months” She mumbled quietly and my smile grew. It was 3 months until Rebecca gave birth to our third baby but this time everything had been planned and she had the support from everyone around her.

“Our perfect family” I said quietly and rubbed my hands along the side of her body. It was true; everything was flawless, just how I had always planned it to. And this was only the start of our perfect lives.
