The water burns my face. I needed to sit up. To breath. I felt as if I was slowly falling. Floating down to the bottom of the see bed where all the broken ships lay. Everything is silent. My eyes close and I let myself go. The water starts to shake and someone grabs me. "God dammit Thomas!" It was Amalie. Once again she saved me. I gasped for air. My heart was beating faster than ever and my whole body was shaking. Tears flooded my eyes and I burst out crying. Amalie pulls my body out of the bath and onto the floor. She sits down next to me with her arm across my back. "Why? Why is it me? What have I done to deserve any of this shit?" I cry out. I rest my head on Amalie's shoulder. "It's ok. Everything is going to be ok." "But it won't. I've heard those words too many times before. Nothing gets better. Nothing is going to be ok." I cry even louder. The tears fall into her grey cardigan. "Thomas. Look at me." I look up to see tears in her eyes. She seemed hurt and disappointed. "We will work this out together. Okay? I won't leave you again. I promise." Amalie wipes her eyes and try gives a reassuring smile.
We sit there for a while. I enjoyed Amalie's company. I felt safe in her arms. "Thomas. You've got goosebumps. I'll go get your clothes. Where are they?" I didn't want the moment to end. But i guess it had to sometime. "They're on the floor in the hallway" I whisper. She gets up and walks to find them. I sit there thinking about what happened. My thoughts get interrupted by a slammed door. Has she left already? Amalie runs back into the bathroom. "Shit. It's my dad. He's not meant to be home until next week. Put your clothes on and hide in my wardrobe." Panic animated across her face. I ran to her room and hopped into the wardrobe. "AMALIE!!" An angry voice called from the kitchen. She ran to her bed as if it was her protection. She looked terrified. "What's happened to my beers?" I felt sick. "Oh. Umm. I through them away. They were out of date." There was a moment of silence. Thump thump thump. He was running up the stairs. "You mean to tell me, you through away my beers because they were out of fucking date." Tears filled in her eyes. "Yes." She mumbled. He walked out the room and into his. After no time at all, he returned with a smashed up beer bottle. "Give me your god damn arm Amalie." I felt the urge to jump out of the wardrobe to stop him, but I knew it would make things worst. Amalie put out her arm and turned her head. The man stabbed deep into her arm and ran the glad all down her arm. She screamed in agonising pain. Enough was enough. I pushed the doors open and ran over to Amalie. "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING TO HER!!????" I yell. The man slowly walked over to me. "Why don't you tell me why the fuck you're in my house?"
