The door shut before my mind could think of what to say. Did she really think she ruined my life? She SAVED my life, made it better. I was happy with Amalie around. I slumped onto the sofa and started to cry. I was back to being a lonely soul.

After 10 minutes of sobbing and whimpering, I got up and decided to go to the shop to get the stuff Amalie was going to buy. When I sat in the car there was a note on the wing mirror.

Thomas

Who on earth is '...' Probably some prank. I scrunched the note up and carelessly put it in my pocket. I turned the engine on and drove down the road.

On the way home, I drive past Amalie's old house, just to say a goodbye I guess. As I pass, something catches my eye. Her bedroom light was on. She must have gone back. Why would she go back? I start to panic and I rush home.

I through the food in the fridge, cupboards and freezer. Once the food was away, I got my phone out and phones Amalie. First time, straight to answer phone. Second time, answer phone. My heart races. What if something terrible has happened to her? I know what I have to do.

I get in my car and drive to Amalie's house. I park a few houses away so no one would suspect anything. As I walk up, I notice 'his' car isn't there. Perfect! I walk across the front garden and begin to climb the wall. The wall we used to escape. I tap on the window and wait. No one comes. I wave of doubt rushes through me. I tap again. My hands start to sweat and my grip loosens. Oh no, I'm going to fall. I close my eyes and my fingers slip. I feel myself fall until everything around me freezes. The world stops. I open my eyes to see Amalie holding onto my arms. Then I remember the first time we met, how we met. The memories all flood back. I shake my head and force myself back to reality.
"Thanks. Now how about you help me up?" I call out, a grin swept across my face. Amalie pulls me up and I clamber through the window.
"What are you doing here?" I ask with worry and confusion.
"Umm well I had nowhere else to go. So um I came here." Sadness and guilt animated her face.
"Why didn't you stay with me? Why did you leave? Why did you leave me?" I was hurt, I'd clearly done something wrong.
"I. I thought I was a pain, getting in the way of your life. I ruined everything with your girlfriend-"
"Woah. She's not my girlfriend, remember? I told you, she left me and I got depressed and well you know the rest." How could she think Isabella was my girlfriend?
"Oh, well as I was saying, you've done everything for me and it was my time to leave." Amalie's face lowered. I opened my mouth to say something but before I could say anything a car pulled up.
