The man stepped closer to me and without hesitation, I move back. "Hey now Thomas. It's not like I'm going to hurt you. I just need to settle some things with you." His face turned serious. My heat skipped what felt like 10,000 beats. I wished I was still unconscious. "Take a seat." The man gestured his body to a chair opposite the one he was originally sat on. I gulped and slowly moved towards it, wary of his position. I hesitantly sat down. "So you're probably wondering what my name is? We've met too many times yet you have no clue to who I am."
"I guess." Trying to sound strong and unafraid wasn't working. My voice shacked and cracked. But he was right. Over the times we met, i never got to know he name. "Well I'm not telly you my name until our discussion is over." He smirked, and a wave of uncertainty crept into me. I furrowed my eyebrows whilst he carried on. "Your second question. Why did I bring you to the hospital, why did I help you? Well, I knew of course when you finally woke up you would tell someone what happened. Report me. So I had the idea of coming up with a fake story." He paused as if he was expecting me to say something. I didn't. "I would make everyone believe I found you unconscious in a pile of bins. I was taking my dog for a walk when I saw something that looked like a body. I then found you and immediately took you to the hospital. Fool proof." The man chuckled, but soon after grew serious. He leaned forward a bit. I still wasn't making eye contact. "I knew your little plan. It's obvious you're in love. As soon as she came back to me I knew what you'd do." He got closer. I could feel his warm breath on my nose. "But it didn't work." He lifted my chin up so are eyes locked. "And you're not getting her back." His hand slapped my face and he got up. I sighed. "What about your-"
"Mark" and with that, he was gone. Mark. What if he was the one Isabella was with. No. It can't be. But what if it is?
