(Next morning, after breakfast, Vivek sat on the couch, reading the newspaper. Uncle and Arya were busy with some extra cleaning-it was Sunday, after all.
Though Vivek's eyes were on the newspaper, they kept drifting toward the staircase... and then to the clock. It was already 9 a.m., but Prince was still asleep.
While wiping down the dining area, Arya caught his subtle impatience and smiled knowingly.
She giggled and said...)
Arya : Vivek, please usko sone dijiye, woh thaka hua hai, mentally and physically too.
[Arya: Vivek, please let him sleep, he’s tired — both mentally and physically.]
Vivek : Ha, but Arya abhi thodi der pehle police officer ka phone aaya tha, ki woh jo boys hai unke parents prince se milna chahte hai, aur woh kuchh process bhi to baaki hai kyuki kal ham raat ko college se sidha ghar hi aa gae the na. Abhi waha jana hai to woh uthke ready ho jaae to ek kaam khatam ho.
[Vivek: Yes, but Arya, a little while ago a police officer called — the parents of those boys want to meet Prince. And there are still some formalities left, since we came straight home from the college last night. We have to go there now, so if he wakes up and gets ready, at least one task will be done.]
Arya : Oh! Esa hai... Umm to aap jaaie utha dijiye usko vivek warna woh apne aapse to uthne se raha.
[Arya: Oh! I see... Umm, then you should go wake him up, Vivek, otherwise he’s definitely not getting up on his own.]
Vivek : I was thinking the same.(he said while folding the news paper and got up..) Mai hi Uthake aata hu.
(Vivek quietly climbed the stairs and gave a soft knock on Prince's door. No response.
He waited a moment, then gently pushed the door open.
The room was dim-the curtains had shut out the morning sun, letting Prince sleep undisturbed.
He lay curled up on the bed, one arm wrapped around a pillow, lost in deep, peaceful sleep.
Vivek stood there for a second, his stern face softening. A faint smile touched his lips.
He walked over and sat at the edge of the bed, leaning slightly forward.
His fingers ran gently through Prince's hair as he whispered,)
Vivek : Buddy wake up.
Prince : five minutes more bhaiya please.(he said in his sleepy, husky voice, eyes were still closed)
Vivek : I wish i could give that prince but it's already nine fifteen... And hame police station jana hai beta.
(After hearing that prince looked at vivek with his half opened eyes )
Prince : Kyu bhaiya ab kyu?
Vivek : Kuchh process baki hai, aur unn dono boys ke parents tumse milna chahte hai.
[Vivek: Some formalities are still pending, and the parents of those two boys want to meet you.]
Prince : kyu?
Vivek : Maybe to convince you so tum case wapas lelo..
[Vivek: Maybe to convince you to take back the case...]
Prince : Never.
Vivek : ofcourse buddy we won't. But hame jana to hoga na.. To utha jaao and get ready mai uncle se kehta hu tumhari coffee and breakfast ready rakhe phir jaate hai ham okay.
[Vivek: Of course, buddy, we won’t take it back. But we still have to go, right? So come on, get up and get ready. I’ll ask Uncle to keep your coffee and breakfast ready, then we’ll leave. Okay?]
