Chapter 1: The beginning

Katherine Miller.

Yup. That's ma name.

I am 19 years old, living in Central California with my parents Mr&Mrs.Miller along with my two little brothers, Chris,who is 13 and Ryan who is 15.

I'm a young lady with mixed personalities,full of ambition and high expectations.
I have never been in love and I'm not a big fan of friends.Thats why i only have one.
Ma best friend... Janae Stevens.I am, however ,full of acquaintances.
I'm a straight A student,with a promising future,with alot of complications and trust issues.

It has been three years since I was raped by my father on my birthday.I have lived with that hurt ever since,and havent shared it with anyone.
Except my best friend, of course, she picked up that something was wrong and I had to vent to the one person I can trust.
As angry as she was that night, she reluctantly vowed never to tell anyone, no matter the circumstance.

It's my senior year ,and I have already been accepted into the college of my choice.
I am counting down the days left before I go off on another stage of my life.

The school year progressed smoothly.
I managed to segregate myself from everybody and keep to myself,my best friend and my books. It was almost impossible to do as I literally socialzed with everybody.
But I did it,nevertheless, and I didn't regret it.
Senior year ended as planned And I'm now standing outside my dorm room at RSC (Royal State College )
My parents had a business conference in New York,so they were unable to accompany me to my first day of college.
It's good that I'm use to disappointments and enjoy my own company ,so it doesn't bother me.

"Hey there shawty "...this dude said approaching me.

"Bye😒"I replied in annoyance.

"Hol up, let me holla at u for a sec".he said following behind me.

"I don't wanna talk to you.".. I sweetly said with a smile.

He stood there looking at me as I walked away,biting his bottom lip..
I laughed to myself. Boys will definitely be boys.

I decided to take a walk around campus before I head back to my dorm. Lucky for me, I don't have to share a room with any of these people because the college granted my request for me to have a room to myself.. at an extra cost of course.

The campus was huge,filled with breath taking sceneries and some funny looking students.The tall oak trees, which looked like they have been planted a trillion years ago, hovered over the main quadrangle creating adequate amount of shade for persons seated beneath.The various buildings all told a different story.

I stood there and smiled to myself.

My thoughts were interupted by an incoming call on my cellphone.
It was Janae. We spoke for a lil while, then she invited me to Brooks Bar,our new hang out spot.
I wanted to continue touring but the glances I was getting from thirsty ass nigggas was starting to piss me off.
I then made my way back to my dorm room before heading out to see Janae.

Within no time,I drove up to the Bar. When I stepped in I spotted Janae's big head in the corner booth.
"Wassup biih" she greeted me with a smile.

"Nth much twit " I replied, before filling her in on the beautiful sites on campus.

I'm still a little sad that we won't be at the same college, but luckily we both have the same jobs and Crew's Lounge on Wednesday and Saturday nights and her college is neighbouring to mine.
Not that bad after all.

"Well.... I have good news" she exclaimed, with a wide smile plastered on her face.

"What is it!!!", I asked filled with curiousity.

"Well, Brade and I got back together ".

"O MY FUDGING GOD!!!,you lil piece of shit, I knew you two would get back together"

Brade and Janae were together for 2 years before she left him.She was a overly jealous psycho who couldn't deal with Brade's flirtatious ways.But I always knew that they would reunite again.

"I'm so happy for you boo" .

"Thanks hun, I'm just waiting for the day that you'll be Telling me you've found someone"

It's officially the first day of college.
I woke up quite early and was already ahead of my schedule.

I got to my first class fifteen minutes early and continued with my reading for economics..
That was the lengthest course.

The professor entered right on time. And began writing on the board not caring how many students were in the room.

"Good morning everyone, I'm Mister Byfield" he greeted the class.

I examined him from head to toe..... he was a beautiful sight.

These people need to hire some ugly ass professors and leave these hotties for the strip joint.

The assignment for the day was to write a page on the things we would want to change about ourselves which should be handed in as an assignment for next class.

Personal development class flew by quicker than it should....

After class I made my way to the library to continue reading before my next class.

I couldn't help but notice this guy sitting two tables across from me.He was glued to his iPad, reading perhaps, and wasn't that bad looking at all. He looked up and caught me staring.

Awkward...........

I sat there pretending to be looking at someone behind him before looking away. Afterwards I felt someone's presence beside me.

"Hey, I'm Jayden", he said with a sexy ass smile on his face

"Hi, I'm Katherine" I answered with a lil smile

"So you're new....." he began before getting interupted by the bell signaling that five minutes was left until the next class.

"I'll see you around Jayden", I said gathering my books.

"Yes you will" he answered sweetly.
