We all sat quitely in the waiting room. My mom, my brothers, Jayden and myself.
"Mrs.Miller" the nurse called out."You can see him now"
My mom and brothers rushed into the direction of the nurse who escorted them to the room.
I,on the other hand, lingered slowly behind them.
The only reason I am here is because of Jayden. When my mom called earlier he asked what it was all about and when I told him he insisted on driving me here no questions asked. On the way here he was like "your dad is gonna be okay" "no need to worry". He felt it more than I did.
My mom was so focused on her husband I doubt she took notice of Jayden being here.
"Come talk to your dad Kate" mom said
Jayden stood in the doorway and I approached the bedside of my father.
He slowly looked up at me with this unreadable look in his eyes. My eyes were glossy as I tried with everything in me to fight back the tears that so desperately wanted to escape. My focus then went to the machine on the right of the hospital bed that began to beep and my dad instantly went into a seizure. The nurses rushed in and told everyone to step outside. Everything happened so fast.
A hour or so passed and we were told that my father was in a coma. They were still unable to tell what trigged such events.

"Are you sure you're gonna be okay by yourself" Jayden questioned
"Yeah,I'm sure "
"Thanks again,goodnight "I said closing the door.
What a lovely night this turned out to be.

I couldn't sleep. No matter what I did.
I rang my girl Janae but she was fast asleep. I decided to call Jayden.
"Awww, she called me" he cooed through the phone.
"Shut up man" I laughed.
"I can't sleep"I began to whine
"No worries, I'll keep your company " he said.
We talked straight through the night. I swear this boy knew how to make me laugh. I could just picture him smirking on the other end of the phone.

I woke up with my phone in my ear.
"Wakkeeeeee up! " I shouted into the phone.
"Damn ma" I heard Jayden respond obviously a lil cranky.
"Get your ass outta bed"
"Wanna meet up for breakfast ?" He asked
"Sure thing, I'm starving".
