Chapter 11

"Jayden and Katherine sitting in the tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G"Janae sang.

"O shut up will you"
"Think I didn't see you and Brade having a tougne wrestling match at the back of the ballroom".
She instantly stopped singing.

"Yah,I thought so" I laughed.

"I would love to see y'all kiss,I mean, sparks will fly like forth of July" Janae exclaimed.

Jayden then slid in our booth.

"Hey shawty" he said to me.

"Sup punk" I replied.

We spent the whole evening laughing  and chatting on just about everything  till it was getting a bit late.
Brade came for Janae. So here I was stuck with Jayden,good thing he had a car tho because I could not bother to walk.

"Where the hell are we going?" I questioned noticing that he missed the turn to campus.

"Chill ma" he calmly replied

"Help!!!!I'm being kidnapped by a hot dude!!! " I shouted, banging on his car window.

"So you think I'm hot "

"Seriously,that's all you heard " I laughed.

He pulled up to this place. I didn't know where I was.

"Our Father Who Art In Heaven" I started to pray.

"You dramatic as hell" he chuckled.

He got out the car and came over to pull my door.

"Catch me if you can" he said running up some rocky hill.

This boy can't be for real!

I made my way after him. I swear amma beat the shit outta him when I catch him.
I felt like I was running around in circles at one point until I saw  Jayden standing at the top.

"You God forsaken nitwit!" I screamed almost out of breath

"You have a delightful vocabulary hun" he smiled.

This boy really smiling with me right now. He took me to this unknown  place  having me running like a damn hamster in circles and it's getting dark.

"I am 5 seconds away from whopping your ass" I said managing to catch my breath.

"Stop the noise and come here will you" he said gestering for me to join him where he was standing.

"Did you not just hear me threaten to whoop your ass " I said making my way over to him.
"I mean who does this...."

My thoughts we're shifted to the beautiful scenery that was presented  before me.
The hill was overlooking the seaside positioned at a perfect angle capturing the beauty of the sunset.
The sun half way behind the sea creating contrasting colors in the sky.
It was absolutely beautiful.

"Pretty cool huh? " Jayden said interupting my thoughts.

"How did you find this place" I asked with my eyes still glued on the scenery before me.

"Ma mom use to take me here when I was younger, and,well, I come here most nights just to clear ma head "

"Wow, just wow" was all I managed to say.

"You see I know you would have said no if I had asked to take you here,so I didn't" he said with that  smirk of his.

"Way to go punk,but no worries,you'll escape my wrath only this once" I chuckled.

We sat on a huge boulder talking about Jayden's mom.

"I notice you don't talk much of your dad, wassup with that?"

"Well, i didnt know my dad,he passed before I was born"

Bummer.

"Ooo....ammm.....I 'm sorry to hear that"
I need to work on the whole  comforting people thing. I was horrible.

He just  smiled.

Jayden insisted on making this stupid handshake. I took a while to get it but when I did I actually liked it. My jawbones literally hurt from all the laughing I've been doing tonight.

"Please stop, I can't laugh anymore " I said in the verge of tears placing my head on his shoulder.

I looked up at him staring into his eyes for what seemed like forever. He started to close the gap between us before my cell phone rang.

I jumped a little bit frightened.

It was my mom.

"Hello?"

"Katherine,your dad is in the hospital".
