Chapter 8

"You okay Kate" Jayden questioned

I wasnt really in the mood to talk.

"I'm fine"
"And....ammmm.. Thank you" I gave a genuine smile.

"No problem Kate"he smiled back.

He stared at me for a bit

"You should go, Janae will be back in a few minutes' I said breaking eye contact.

"You sure? I could stay till she gets back" he replied.

"Nah, please I'll be fine" I said literally pushing him through my dorm room door.

"Bye now" I said before shutting the door.

I dozed off for a while to be awakened by Janae shaking the life out of me.

"Wake up this instant" she shouted.

"What the hell Janae"
My eyes where heavy and I was tired. But no. Janae couldn't let me sleep in peace.

"I said get up" she shouted.

"What!" I jumped up shouting back.

I let out a slight laugh after taking in Janae's appearance.
She twisted her hair back in two wearing an oversized orange jumper,black sneakers and held a baseball bat in her right hand.

"Would you care to explain why you look like that holding a bat" I asked

"I'm gonna beat the shit out of that lowlife dushbag that tried to get down with you!, isn't it obvious" she explained.
"And you are coming with me" she continued...signaling to a matching jumper and bat across the room.

"Awwww, ain't you tha best, but we aren't gonna beat anybody"
"Besides Jayden kinda already took care of that"

Jayyden's POV.

I don't know what came over me last night. After Katherine left the dancefloor to go sit at the bar I made small talk with Janae, introducing her to a few people. I looked over at the bar and there was no sign of Katherine so i decided to look for her.
I heard her voice coming from the hallway and to my surprise this lowlife was tryna get down with her.
Man did I flip I grabbed that nigga and punched the shit out of him. He was lucky Kate was there else I would have never stopped hitting him.

I took her back to her dorm before calling Janae who had been searching for her.

But Kate dead ass threw me out of her room. Like I wasn't even there for 5 minutes.

Hopefully I can get to actually hold a good conversation with shawty.
