I Cant Cope

Part 3

(Calum's Pov)

"Luke!" Was all Ashton said before dropping his phone to the ground, and burst out crying.

I walked over to see what had made Ash so upset, and picked up Ashton's phone.

Ashton had received a text from an unknown number.

I opened the text and saw a photo attached to a text that read 'video chat tonight at 10:00.don't tell the police or you will be looking for a new lead singer.'

Seeing that, I quickly opened the picture, and what I saw made me want to drop the phone as well.

Luke was tied to a wall, beaten, and bloody with no shirt on and his head down.

"Michael come look at this." I said holding the phone out for Michael.

"Oh my god!" Was all Michael said before he checked the time on his phone.

"It's 9:45. I say we go get the laptop ready." I said.

"I'll go get the laptop. You talk to ash." With that Michael left the room.

"It's all my fault." I heard Ashton mumble into a pillow.

I walked over, and took a seat next to Ashton on the bed and started rubbing his shoulders.

"Dont say that I ash. You had no clue that this would happen." I tried assuring the upset lad.

"But Calum! you don't get it! I yelled at him. I thought he was checking a guy out! I got jealous and yelled at him!" At this point Ashton was sobbing, and I just continued to rub his shoulder.

"Lets go downstairs, so that when they call we can figure out what they want and get out little penguin back."

Ashton nodded then got up and left the room leaving me alone. I checked the time on my phone, seeing that it was 9:57 so they would be calling soon.

I started walking downstairs to the kitchen where Ashton and Michael were sitting at the table with the laptop.

I walked over and took a seat on the other side of Ashton, and continued to rub his back.

"Luke will be ok, he's a tough lad." Michael said.

"Yeah, well based on that picture, Luke doesn't stand a chance!" Ashton snapped.

I was about to say something, but I heard ringing.

All of our heads snapped up to the laptop, the screen said incoming call from unknown.

I quickly hit accept, and waited for Luke to pop up on the screen.

After a few seconds, I finally saw Luke. He was still tied to a wall with his head down, and still no shirt.

I heard Ashton gasp, and when looked over he had both his hands over his mouth and his eyes wide.

"Lukey!" Ash cried, causing Luke's head to shoot up.

It was my turn to gasp when I saw Luke's beaten face.

Luke had a gash on his forehead with some blood dripping from it, a busted lip, a huge bruise on his right cheek, and a bit of blood dripping from his nose.

"Ash!" Luke cried, pulling at the ropes around his wrist.

"Oh my god Luke are you ok?" I could hear the worry in Ashton's voice as he spoke.

"No!" Luke cried, making my heart break. "I want to come home Ash!"

"Oh god, Luke I'm so sorry. This is all my fault!" Ashton sobbed.

"Ashton listen to me! None of this is your fault." Luke said softly.

"But Luke." Ashton said a little calmer now. "I shouldn't have yelled at you. Jealousy got the better of me, and I'm sorry."

"It's fine Ash. Really, it is." Luke argued.

"It's not fine. Luke, look at you!"

Luke went to respond but was interrupted by a door slamming.

Luke's head shot up, and his eyes went wide as he struggled against the ropes.

(Ashton's Pov)

I watched as Luke freaked out as the footsteps got closer.

It hurt to see my baby so scared, and in pain.

I didn't realize I was shaking until Michael put a hand on my shoulder.

I looked back at him and he mouthed it's okay.

I heard a loud smack followed by Luke crying out in pain, causing me to look back at the screen.

Luke was crying while a guy was rubbing his thighs and whispering in his ear.

"Get the hell off of him!" Calum shouted.

The guy whispered something in Luke's ear before getting up and walking towards the laptop.

"So boys." The man started. "Do you know why we took little Lukey?"

We all slowly shook our heads.

"We want revenge." A new voice said.

Once we saw who it was, we all gasped.

"You?" I cried out.
