Part 22

(Luke's Pov)

Once we got home I ran up to mine and Ashton's room and flopped down onto the bed.

Ashton walked in and chuckled.

"Are you tired?"

I nodded as I felt Ashton lay down beside me and pull me closer to him.

"Go to sleep Lukey. You could really use some rest." Ashton said.

I nodded and closed my eyes and slowly drifted off to sleep.

(Ashton's Pov)

I watched Luke sleep with a small smile on his face.

It warmed my heart to see him at peace again. To think that Luke went through hell and was still his happy self.

That's just one of the many reasons I love him.

I was brought out of my thoughts when Luke's phone buzzed.

I picked it up and saw it was a text from the same unknown number as from the hospital.

I slowly got up making sure I didn't wake Luke up and slowly Wales out of the room.

I shut the door behind me and made my way downstairs where Michael and Calum were cuddled on the couch.

"Hey Ash. How is Luke?" Calum asked.

"He is doing better. He is just catching up on some well needed sleep." I sighed plopping down in a chair near Calum.

I handed Calum the phone who gasped and showed it to Michael.

"Why can't he just leave us alone! We didn't do anything to him." Michael grumbled.

"I know Mikey. But we can't let him get Luke. Who knows what he will try next." I sighed.

"We just have to protect Luke no matter what." Michael said.

"Why do you need to protect me?" I heard a tired voice say.

I turned around to see Luke rubbing his tired eyes.

"Zayn texted us again. He told me to watch my back." I shrugged.

"So we should be watching out for you." Luke said sitting on my lap.

"We are going to all protect each other. We don't know who he is targeting exactly so we will all stay together and watch out for one another." Calum said.

"Calum is right. Zayn could be saying he will target you to catch us off guard." Michael agreed.

Me and Luke nodded.

"Did you sleep well?" I asked Luke who nuzzled his face into the crook of my neck.

"Mmmm. Mhm." Luke hummed.

"We are so glad your back. We will never let Zayn take you again." Michael said.

"Yeah, we will do whatever it takes to protect you Luke." Calum replied.

"If it will get you guys hurt then you won't. I won't let you guys put yourselves through the same thing I went through just so you can protect me." Luke argued.

Yet another reason why I love Luke. He is always caring for everyone. Even if they hurt him he would still care for them.

"But Luke, if Zayn gets you again he might just kill you!" Calum said sitting up.

"I would rather have that than him killing one of you." Luke said quietly.

"Luke, please don't say that! If something happened to you then I would be completely broken." I said choking back a sob at what Luke just said.

Luke just remained speechless, not knowing what to say next.

"We will all be fine. I won't let anything happen to any of us." I said pulling Luke closer to me.

Little did I know, we were being watched....
