Chapter Six: Sadie

Carter, Percy and Sadie sat in a grubby cell. This is where they were thrown after the Norse took them. The ground was covered in damp, moldy hay, the walls, layered spider webs, who knows what lurked in the dark, dusty corners.

Footsteps creaked outside the metal door. Percy tensed, "Don't answer them, okay? If you answer them, it makes you useless to them. So don't answer them. I don't care what they'll do to me, they won't take mercy on me. They're only keeping you until they get information on Set. We can set up an escape, and get the hammer ourselves. Don't answer them" he whispered. Sadie and Carter nodded, just as door slammed open. A man stepped in and pointed his pudgy thumb at Carter. Sadie stiffened.

"You, come with me, Odin would like to speak with you" the man snapped. Carter stood up shakily and glanced at Sadie once before following the large man into the hallway. The man slammed and locked the door, Sadie's stomach flipped and twisted. She was scared for her brother.

~Twenty Minutes Later~

Sadie's eyes widened and she heard Carter scream. It was a blood curdling, agonizing scream. A scream that you would hear if someone was being ripped to shreds. The worst part was that he was her brother. She jumped up and pounded on the metal door.

"CARTER! PLEASE STOP! CARTER!" Sadie screeched. She was crying, Percy grabbed her wrist and hugged her. She started sobbing as Carter's scream got worse.

"I know how hard it is, but we must stay quiet. I'm sorry" Percy whispered. Sadie nodded, but still cried.

"FATHER! STOP IT!" a girl screamed from outside.

"Hel" Percy whispered.

The door whipped open and a girl came in carrying Carter. His blood seeping through her white cloak. Sadie felt her knees start to buckle when she saw Carter. The lady placed him on the ground and looked at Percy.

"I must leave, I will try to stop them from harming anyone else" The woman whispered.

"Thank you Hel" Percy whispered back, as she left swiftly.

Percy and Sadie knelt next to Carter. He had multiple cuts and slices. The worst one was the one that ran from his left underarm to his hip. White bone peaked through his flesh. His right ankle stuck out at an odd angle, along with his left wrist and fingers. Tears poured from his eyes.

"What hurts the most?" Percy asked.

"My back" Carter moaned.

"We're going to sit you up, this may hurt" Percy said, he glanced at Sadie, she got the message. She helped Percy sit Carter up, he let out a cry. Sadie gasped when she saw his back. His shirt (What's left of it, anyways) was ripped up, bones were tearing through his bruised and bloody skin. Sadie held his hand, he dug his nails into her skin, probably without realizing it. The door slammed open, Odin came in.

"I wasn't done with my conversation" Odin scowled.

"YOU WERE TORTURING MY BROTHER!" Sadie screeched.

"Hush, you annoying child. I'll talk to the three of you then."

"Haven't you done enough pirate?!" Percy growled.

"Listen, this is how things will work until Thor gets his hammer. Every time you ignore us, are rude, disrespectful, annoying, loud or rude, we'll beat you close to death. I can't kill any of you, not yet" Odin smirked. Man, a one eyed old man can smirk. Odin left, slamming the door shut.

An Iris message appeared in front of them.

"Percy, Oh Gods! Carter! Sadie!" Annabeth gasped. Sadie glanced down at Carter, who was leaning against her, sleeping.

"Percy, we're coming" Jason said, stepping into the message.

"No, they'll kill you" Percy said.

"Percy, we're coming, this has gone to far. We'll bring our army there" Jason said, determination filled his voice.

"Jason! NO!" Percy screamed just as Jason slashed his arm through the message.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here? Isn't it the Kane's? So weak. Helpless. I wonder who's fault that is" a voice rasped from the corner. A man walked from the corner.

Set. In his hand was the bluish, green hammer of Thor.
