"Well Balthazar, pulling an all-nighter was worth it." I smiled to him. He looked at me groggily while I was still wide awake. This isn't my first sleepless night, so I was use to it by now.
"I placed jobs based on people's experiences and I successfully filled this journal with everything. No matter what, this stays with us always." I told him. I stood up and blew out the almost burned out candles. I cleaned up my mess and put everything that was laid out away. I walked over to the doors and opened them with a creak. Balthazar walked out while I closed them back up.
I took a deep breath of air and then began walking to the horn with Balthazar next to me in a slow fashion. I rolled my eyes at him as he had a grumpy face on.
"Oh shut up. At least you got sleep." I told him. He gave a defeated nod and afterwards perked up. I walked up to the horn and blew it for an extender period then headed to the podium like stance in the centre of the village. I saw people begin emerging from there houses still in their sleeping attire while I stood with my war face on. I head thumps behind me, meaning the gang was here.
I turned to them to see them ready and alert. They were in their normal clothes with war faces on. I gave them a smile and then turned back to the village, gathering around me. I stood firm as someone yelled to me.
"What is the meaning of this? We are preparing for war, not losing our sleep." he yelled to me.
"Exactly the point, we are preparing for war, Alkar." I told him. He stepped back shocked.
"I stayed up all night planning everything down to the very hour. If you do not comply, I will challenge you to a spar, you can choose if I have a weapon or not and you can have a weapon if you so desire. If I win, you will keep quiet and help Berk prepare, if you win you may slack off for the next three months on Ember Island. I have a few dragon friends over there that would be happy to have guest." I gave a smile.
"I will ask if you wish to spar at the end." I told them on a side note. "Now let me begin explaining the plan." I told them. I explained exactly what every mentors job was, from Valka to Gobber. I told them the classes and who was in each class. I explained lunch was after every class was done. Then I told them they have armor to prepare and it has to be approved by I alone.
I explained at night how everyone with a dragon will have a one on one with Valka and Hiccup, and how I would be there helping if anyone needed it. I would also be teaching the classes with Astrid because she and I would need to show sparring with partners. I told them how Fishlegs would teach them about every dragon he could in such a short time and how there will be quizzes for that.
I told them scheduling for dragon fittings for armors and how we would have a meeting every morning just before sunset to say who would be having a one on one and who would have a dragon fitting that day. Finally, I explained how everynight we would have a fire and discus what happened that day and how it was for relaxing.
"And you get up and do it all over again the next day." I finished, snapping the journal closed.
"I challenge you to a fight. I get my sword and you get nothing!" a large guy called out. I raised my brow, but sighed.
"You will all be getting lunch late because he is postponing the classes further." I announced to everyone. They groaned and a female even hit him over the head with her hand. "To the ring." I told them. We walked a short distance to the ring that was originally made for training kids to kill dragons, but now it is to train them.
"Alright, close the doors!" I called after we entered the ring while the village gathered around up. The doors slammed behind us, him standing before me with a sharp sword. I raised my brow as he charged at me. My sword and claws were with Astrid because I was allowed no weapons. He swung his sword down which I caught between my palms. His widened, but he only got enraged more.
He yanked the sword from my palms, cutting them slightly. I jumped up as he swung the sword across. I tucked my knees to my chest and pushed them out on his hands. I landed on my back which I jumped up quickly and stepped on his sword. I pulled it back to me and popped it up to my hand by stepping on the hilt of it.
I held the sword out to him as he stepped back now with his fist clenched. I decided I should just end it now as he charged at me. I did an Ariel flip and wrapped my legs around his neck. I flipped him onto his stomach as I stood, now on his back with my sword to the back of his head.
"Now, listen and prepare." I turned and walked to the doors which were now open for me to exit. I heard a furious yell as he began running at me. I turned and threw the sword to his feet. It landed promptly in front of him, into the ground. He looked down then up at me.
"There's your sword. I'll see you in Astrid and I's first class." I told him. He gave a defeated sigh, but nodded. I exited and stood on the bars.
"Now, get moving!" I yelled to them. "If you aren't dressed and ready and back here in five minutes, I will personally fly you to Ember island and drop you in the lava pit!" I yelled. Before I even finished everyone was gone, running back to there homes to quickly get ready.
"Wow," Hiccup said, standing beside me now. "I have never seen so many Vikings run in terror all at once." he commented.
"That's my girl!" Astrid commented, hitting my arm with her fist. I chuckled and gave a toothy grin as she handed me my sword which I gladly tied around my hips then secured my claws on my hands. Balthazar came by me and licked my cheek. I chuckled and patted his snout.
"Thank you buddy, but I need you to help train the dragons for combat. So now it is serious time." I told him. He sat straight up and nodded with a determined face. I nodded in approval and he scampered off toward the dragon pens.
"Why are we preparing so much if we have already defeated him once before?" Fishlegs questioned.
"My father is a ruthless killer who would take the life of my mother to get what he wants. I promise you, defeating him was fluke, and he will never let t happen again." I finished speaking, leaving them in shock.
They had so much to learn and we were only just beginning. I know they think this is extreme, but they can't expect to defeat the master of dragons, can they?
