"So that's how we first met...hehe I kinda forgot" Haru laughed and I rolled my eyes.
Us two are living in college together as roommates now, can I just say it NEVER gets dull in our new apartment. We always have something to do whether it's to play a new video game that just came out or just go out to eat ice cream in the park. I just wish I could tell him how I feel....
"Hey your coffee's getting cold." he said. I looked up at his gorgeous brown eye and his eyepatch and sighed. "Ummm, is there something on my face?" He said jokingly
"Oh no just zoning out..." I hear my phone buzz and I pick it up and see that it's Cici (my closest friend that isn't Haru) texting me.
Cici: Are you out at the cafe with Haru again?
Kai: Yeah, why?
Cici: Have you told him?
Kai: No and I don't plan to today.
Cici: You have to tell him eventually, you know?
Kai: I know...I'll talk to you later we're busy right now.
Cici: Try not to gag.
Kai: Why am I even friends with you?
Cici: Cause you would be hopeless without me
Kai: True.
"Is it Cici again?" Haru asks with confidence in his eye.
"Yeah just seeing how I am, how did you know?"
"I have never seen you texting when it doesn't involve something to do with Cici. Sometimes I think you love her!" He laughs after saying that
"Oh haha very funny." I say sarcastically. I watch him get up from his seat and begins to head towards the exit. I get up and follow him as he opens the door for me.
"Milady." He says jokingly.
"If I'm the lady then what are you!?"
"Probably your butler, hell I got the protection part down." He says as we walk out the door.
"You always did protect me when we were in elementary." I added.
"I still do don't I?... You don't need to answer that I already know." He says proudly.
"You still haven't told me why you wear an eyepatch though, and when you lift it, the people that see it look like they're being hypnotised." I look at him ready to listen to a long story.
"My left eye was poked out and people think it's terrifying when I show it to them so I use it to my advantage." He says quickly. Haru closed his other eye, crossed his arms and smiled. "And it helps doesn't it?" He says proudly.
"It helps but it's terrifying... You also refuse to show me it, but why?" I ask while looking down, eyes full of concern.
"Exactly that, it's terrifying, you would probably faint from it." He says with genuine care on his face. "I don't want to scare you..." I start to blush but I quickly get over it. "Well... we're home now." We both look up at the tall building, housing our apartment, our home. He smiles playfully and begins to run towards the door of the building. "Last one gets to be Player 2!"
I look at him and smile. "There is no chance I'm letting that happen again!" I quickly run behind him.
If only I could tell him how I feel.
