"Ooh Jared," I hear a girl coo. Say what now? Who's Jared?
I try to peer around a crowd of girls surrounding the guy who must belong to the name of "Jared." From what I can tell he has brown coiffed hair. That's about it.
I continue to walk to the school's building, avoiding the crowd of girls who are like vultures fighting for their prey. He is just a normal guy. The ones we see everyday in our hallway. He isn't that special.

At lunch the new guy Jared sits at Evelyn, Victor, and mine's table. I guess we'll sit somewhere else. I think that way until Victor sits at the table and makes conversation with the Jared guy! I don't know what I have against Jared but I don't like him... He sends off a bad vibe. Maybe because he came to our school and within one day he is already pretty popular and is God's gift to girls.
Jared must sense my contemplating stare because he looks back at me and smirks. Ugh! He must think he owns me too! I'll show him!
I make my way over to Jared and Victor trying to look at ease but really I'm pissed off! No one can ever think they own me. I repeat no one.
     "Hey," I say sitting down.
"Hey sweetheart. You didn't tell me you had a hot friend Victor," Jared says.
"This is Emma cous," Victor says noticing my eye brows furrowing together. Wait- he just said "cous." They're cousins!?
"I think I like sweetheart better," he says winking at me. Oh. My. God. He did not just wink at me! Oh is he going to regret that!
"I like Emma better douchebag. I don't care if he's your cousin Victor, but you can't stop me from speaking my mind. After all, it's very rare people speak the truth," I snap.
"How am I a douche sweetheart," Jared asks reaching for my hand.
"Victor," I snap staring in his direction trying to avoid the ice blue eyes of my new found enemy.
"Jared stop. I don't think she likes it." Don't think?! Is he crazy?! I hate it, absolutely hate it.
"Victor, I don't dislike it. I hate it," I say staring hard into Jared's eyes.
"I'm sorry sweetheart. I'll be better. Especially to you." I can already tell this is going to be an interesting end of my senior year. Very interesting.
