"So Emma, ready to start the night," he asks me.
"I don't know..."
"Come on... Please," he says before giving me a puppy dog face. Oh god. He thinks this is going to work on me.
"Fine... What first," I ask giving in to the begging. His begging was going to continue if I didn't say yes.
"We cook," he says excitingly. Cooking? As if he could read my facial expression he adds," So I can distract my parents from the fact I'm going to be gone all night."
"All night," I shriek.
"Yes," he says chuckling at me.
"Why are you laughing," I snap.
"You're so cute," he sighs.
"What!?!"
"Nothing."
"Jared..."
"I said nothing," he says shrugging his shoulders. "Now let's go get cooking. We have other things we need to do."***
"And done," he says after finishing writing the note after the dinner we just made. What he's doing for his parents is simply adorable. I'm not saying he is, but his actions are for once.
He notices my admiration and smirks at me. Oh god no. He is not thinking I'm into him. He better not.
"Don't play it off sweetheart, I saw the way you looked at me."
"Blah," I scoff. "You may have gotten me confused with one of the groupie girls that follows you around everywhere."
He gives me a look of hurt. "Emma, can we just enjoy one night together? No fighting or insulting, just a normal conversation," he pleas giving me an honest yet sad look.
"Ugh, fine," I say. "Just don't call me sweetheart."
"Done," he says with a nod.
"Where are we off to now?"
"To the car, honey."
"What?"
"You never said I couldn't call you 'honey.'"
