The horrified gasped that filled the crowd, as they looked at the child, was ear piercing. I could hear the cry of a mother, already mourning her baby. My heart went out to her, it truly did, but I knew that one kid was going to be nothing compared to what's to come.
The vampires had declared war long ago, now it's final, you must pick a side.
I hear the farmiliar cracking of bones, as several pack member follow the fresh scent. It wasn't a suprise someone made it to our territory, we were celebrating, leaving only a few guards across the border.
"Everyone settle down!" Xavier barks at the chaotic crowd. "We need to keep our heads about this, right now getting angry isn't our best option."
But he was wrong, getting angry is exactly what needed to happen, sometimes over thinking things will get you killed. If a warrior waits for a split second, they'll be dead. Vampires are fast, much faster than werewolves, except when we're in wolf form.
"Gather weapons and meet me by the west border, take Talon with you. And make sure those who aren't fighting get into the safe house." Xavier commands, whispering so only I could hear.
I nod, slipping off me shoes and finding Talon. He was with Fish, both whispering frantically.
"We have to go Talon, Fish can you help the women and children get to the safe house, Ruby will know what to do." I can faintly here Xavier yelling at pack members.
"Rose, in my chest, there is a box, it has your name on it, take it, it will help you." Fish nods towards me, before running and finding Ruby.
"You go get changed, and find this box, I'll get weapons and meet you here in seven minutes, not a minute later." Talon rushes off somewhere, leaving me to get ready.
I rush to my room, ignoring the cries of horror. I quickly strip off my dress, rushing to throw on a black shirt and pants. I grab my combat boots, sliding them on as well.
I have four minutes to spare as I search for his chest. Fish loves to hide things, a little too much if you ask me. Thankfully it's just in his closet, piled under clothes he never put away.
I hold the shiny black box up, examining it before I rip it open. I didn't recognize it at first, it was a glove that only covered my knuckles, except it had two stakes at the end.
I sniff them and just as I suspected, they're dipped in vervain and deadman's blood. It should kill vampires fairly quickly, even touching the stuff weakens them, but stabbing it through their heart, they wouldn't live three seconds.
I reach Talon in just the nick of time, he had a gun strapped to his back, and blades in his belt. He hands me a gun, the bullets were filled with vervain and deadman's blood, along with a ten inch blade and extra bullets.
Talon takes off running, leaving me no choice but to follow. I could smell the putrid smell of vampires from here, making the real action fairly easy to find.
I could see Matthew and William's pack, fighting right along side ours. There had to be atleast a dozen other battles going on across the country, but I could tell this was going to be the biggest, and the bloodiest.
"Don't die."
"You too." He nods his head, running off and killing a vampire who had a werewolf pinned down.
I yelp in suprise as I'm thrown against a tree, but shake it off. Rolling my shoulders to relieve the ache already forming, I charge, running straight for it. She was suprised to say the least, it's eyes wide as I impale her chest.
An angry grunt is released as it dies, and not to long after another vampire charges, and I barley have time to throw it off me. His eyes flicker to the dead female before coming again.
