Releasing a shaky breath, I knock every so slightly on the door infront of me.
"Come in." A gruff voice commands from the other side.
I could sense him from outside the door. I could almost see the beautiful hue of his eyes, feel the smoothness of his skin. I want him, no need him, I realize that now.
Slowly but surely I open the door, suprised he hasn't already sensed me. I clear my throat making him look up from his stack of paper.
His eyes light up like the fireworks, and a ghost of a smile crosses his lips. The way Xaviers face brightened made my stomach flutter and my heart skip a beat.
I waste no time walking to him. It felt like a very long walk, when in reality it was no more than twenty feet.
When I'm within arms length with him, he grabs my waist and pulls me on his lap. Just being close to him brings me undescribable comfort and warmth. Werewolves are naturally warm, but the warmth he brings me goes all the way down to my toes.
I snuggle deep into his side, putting my head in the crook of his neck and closing my eyes. I breathe in his scent, over the weeks his bedroom lost it's scent, now it only smells like me.
He begins soothingly running his hands through my hair, making me almost purr in pleasure.
'Thank you.' Liv whispers. I can tell she's very happy I finally caved and put us out of our misery.
My body slags against him lightly as he countinues to soothe me. I feel a light chuckle ripple trough his body as my eyelides get heavier. I've hardly slept without the warmth of my mate.
"Go to sleep, Kitten." He whispers, so I do. Right there in his arms.

I wake up a few hours later in the warm arms of my mate. I also wake up in just a big tshirt, perv. I try removing his protective arm from around my waist before just giving up. I shove and push at his heavy arm, wanting nothing more than to escape.
I could see the morning light shinning through the window and my wolf was pacing to get out.
'I know a way.' Liv sings.
'I'm not going to like this am I?' I mentally prepare myself for her ridiculous suggestion.
'No.'
'Then no.'
'Oh, come on don't be a prude.' She teases.
'Oh, come on don't be slutty.' I mock.
'Bitch.'
'Slut.'
'If I could I'd slap you.' She deadpans.
"Rose. Rose." A voice whispers, pulling me out of my conversation. I look over to see that Xavier had already woken up. Well what great timing.
"Yes?" I groan, puching his arm off me to stretch.
"Sorry, you just sort of blanked out."
I let out a chuckle. "I do that alot." He reaches over and puts my face in his big hand. I love how his hand is big enough to do that, it's calming.
"I have to go soon." He tells me. I nod, he's an alpha, he has things to do. "Go back to sleep Rose, I'll be back by two." He kisses my forehead before enraveling himself from me and leaving.
I stay in bed for a little longer, getting my needed beauty sleep, before deciding to get up.
I yawn, stretching my arms over my head. It was close to noon, a beautiful hour. I had slept for an extra hour, which was good, atleast I'm up for lunch.
I strangled yelp escapes my lips as I sense another presences in the room. Suddenly I'm engulfed in a tight bearhug.
"Oh my God, you're so pretty. I can't believe that my brother got so lucky with you. Oh, Im Lacey, by the way." The girl, Lacey, squeals. "Im Xavier's sister." She adds.
I sigh in relief, thankful she's not some stranger here to stalk me. "Im Rose." I tell her.
"I know that silly, for the past few weeks Xavier hasn't shut up about you. You have him wrapped around your finger and when you locked yourself up, he tore apart everything and anything." Guilt spreads throughout my body. "Don't fret to much, he did alot of stupid things and you put him in his place." She then procedes to giggle at her brother's actions.
"Do know what happened to the rogue Ivy?" I whisper.
"Xavier let her go a week ago. She now lives on the outskirts of the pack." Lacey has a small smile on her lips. "Let's go get some food."
"I thought you'd never ask." I say looping my arm through hers.
"I didn't ask anything though." She says like a smart ass.
"Dont make me hit you with a baseball bat." I deadpan.
'Aggressive much.' Liv chuckles.
Once we make our way down to the kitchen I notice a fairly farmiliar voice. Emma. God forbid she remember her pack duties. "Speak of the devil. Rose, I was just telling Ruby about you."
"You were?" I ask, wondering who exactly this women was.
"Of course she wants to know everything about her son's mate." There was a twinkle of pride in Emma's eyes, letting me know how happy she was. "She's grown up so much since I met her."
I groan in annoyance, not liking them talking about my past. I knew Emma wouldn't go into the dark stuff, but I didn't want Xavier's family knowing how much I've killed.
"And little Lacey, you've grown up as well, it's been what four years since we saw each other last. How are you?" Emma turns her attention to Lacey, cheerfully greeting her.
"I'm good Emma, how have you been?" Lacey replys.
"Amazing dear. Rose, would you like something to eat? Ruby just made sandwiches." Emma was truly glowing around other women, a trait I wish I had.
I nod my head, not quite sure if I wanted to interupt Emma and Ruby.
"I have turkey or Italian, which one?" Ruby was just as cheerful as Emma, I coukd see how the two were friends.
I clear my throat, "Italian please."
It felt weird being around so many women, I wasn't exactly friendly and usually didn't enjoy the company. Emma had tried to get me to be more social with her pack members, but I spent most of my free time training and never wanted to.
Ruby sets a plate down at the table, beckoning for me and Lacey to join her at the table.
I eat my food, listening to their light chatter, however I don't really talk until Ruby asks, "So Rose, when am I getting grand babies?"
I choke on my food, causing me to go into a small coughing fit. "Um, I'm like seventeen.." I drag off not sure what to say.
"I said that too at your age, but trust me, it'll happen. And you want kids young, that way you'll have the energy."
Emma supresses her chuckle, not trying to help me whatsoever. I haven't even thought of kids, I mean come on I'm barely able to sneak into bars.
Hearing a snicker from Lacey, I immediately know what to say. "You know, I think Lacey is the one you should be talking to." I flash and award winning smile, ready to run away.
"I haven't found my mate yet, so that's gonna be hard." She gives me an evil smile in return.
"I think that's the root of the problem then."
"I don't." She grits her teeth and sends me a glare.
We countinue our light chatter until around two o'clock. Tha's when Xavier comes running into the kitchen, his eyes searching for something. He stops when his eyes land on me.
"We need to talk, kitten." He says pulling me up from my chair and into his office. What the hell? I give him a confused look as he starts packng around the room.
He stops moving, back going rigid with tension, and says, "Tell me what you were doing before you competed in the Chase."
