"Aug wait-" I stopped walking as we approached the door
"Girl wait nothing, quit stressing you have nothing to worry about. Now open that door" he kissed my cheek and then pushed me towards the door.
I took a sigh, why am I worrying I thought as I put a smile on my face and opened the door.
"Hey y'all come on in" I opened the door wide enough for them all to walk in and they all greeted me
"You must be Koko, Aug she so pretty" She hugged me and I smiled
"Hey ma" Aug kissed his mother's cheek "Hey baybeh" she hugged him
"Y'all this my girl Koko" I smiled and waved
"Koko this my mama, my girl Mookie and her daughter Kristian, my sis Cha and my nieces Chaylin, Amaiya, Kayden, my big brudda Jamal and my nephew lil jamal" He introduced everyone
"Girl this house is bad, who was the decorator?" Mook asked looking around "Thank you girl, I decorated everything" I answered "Damn you needa come to Houston and decorate my new house" She looked at me smiling "If you for real I'll come do it for real." I answered honestly and she smiled "Well as skin and bones over dea said I'm Mookie but call me Mook and this my baby. It's nice to meet you" she pointed to her daughter and then walked up to me "Watch yo mouf Mook fo' I fuck you up" August pointed at her and his mama hit him upside the head "You watch yo damn mouf" she fussed and I laughed "Hey y'all" I held my hand out and she slapped it away "Girl we hug round hea" she stated which made me laugh "If you don't sound like my folks" I said as we hugged and pulled back "Which let's me know you was raised by some good black folk" I cracked up at her
"Don't pay no mind to ha' ratchet ass hey girl I'm Cha. And you must be Koko the one who lampshade always talking about." She hugged me "I guess so" I answered "That melanin tho, Aug she bad and I love this house mama, it's so modern and cheque" she smiled "Thank ya boo, y'all can put ya purses in my room you should see Tima and Ky's sitting on my bed it's the last door right down that hallway" I pointe down the hall and they went that way
"Damn Yung how you get did cute lil chocolate thang, girl us darkskins supposed to stick together why you with a lightskin" Jamal joked "I know team darkskin for life but I made an exception for Aug cuz he darkskin at heart" I said making him laugh "You right, well it's nice to finally meet you" He pulled me into a hug and then pulled back
"Jamal-" I was cut off "Call me Smoke ma" he smiled and so did I "Smoke, Knuck them all outside y'all can head out there" I pointed to the patio door "Aight I'll chop it up witcha lata" He and Lil Jamal walked outside
"Uncle August she so pretty" Chay whispered to August
"Yea Uncle Aug and I like her hair" Mya joined the conversation
"And I love this house" Kay Kay added
"I know but why y'all telling me tell her that yaself"
"Ms. Koko-" Kay spoke "Oh no call me Koko, and I heard everything y'all said ya uncle just being difficult. Y'all are so beautiful" I hugged each of them
"Thank you" they all said at the same time
"I'm Chay"
"I'm Amaiya but everybody call me Mya or Noonie"
"And I'm Kay Kay the favorite one" Kay flipped her hair
"Nunhuh, You are not the favorite" Mya argued back
"Yes I am" Kay Kay rolled her eyes
"Aye cut it out, y'all are equal" August stepped in
"Y'all wanna go outside with everybody else?" I asked and they all nodded "Aight c'mon did y'all bring your swimsuits" I asked as we approached the patio door "Yes ma'am Uncle Aug told us you have a pool" Mya responded "I do" I nodded
