Koko's Mother Carolynn

August POV

I was sitting at the bar when someone knocked on Koko's door. Ush got up and opened it and it was her family.

"Hey y'all" Usher said hugging everyone and then he hugged one last person that caught my attention and she was a very pretty lady who seemed to be in her late 30s early 40s.

"Hey Mama, how you doing?" He asked hugging the lady "Hey baby I'm fine and you?" She said kissing Ush's forehead "I'm good mama long time no see" He said looking at her "That's cause you don't come around and done forgot about ya lil old God mama." She said folding her arms and looking at him "I know Mama, I'm sorry" He said chuckling

"Mhmm, where my boys and my daughter?" Sh asked looking around "The boys are in the back playing with lil T and I don't know where Koko is I think she in her room." He said to her locking the door behind them.

"Mama, this is August Alsina he's a singer, and he's Koko and I's friend. August this is Koko's moms THE Carolynn Ray. Ush said introducing us and I stood up to shake her hand and she pushed it down and looked at me like 😑

"Nunhuh we don't shake hands around hea baby, we give hugs." She said smiling and engulfing me in the most comforting hug. "Nice to meet Mrs. Ray" I said pulling back from the hug and she put her hands on my shoulder "Child, Mrs. Ray make me feel like an old woman, you can call me Carolynn or Lyn" she said giving me that amazing smile just like her daughter "Alright Mrs. Lynn, well as he said I'm August" I said sitting back down

"Mrs. Lynn will do and I know exactly who you are... You're the young man my daughter is always calling her baby daddy. Her ass be running through my house talking about "Oooo my baybeh daddy so fine, baybeh he just do some to me" I be like lil girl sit yo lil chocolate self down I'm sick of hearing bout yo baby daddy." Her mama said making us fall out laughing but it felt good to know Koko thinks of me the same way I do her

"Oh my God ma, you did not just tell them that. Please go sit down somewhere, go talk to poopie or some and stop telling everything and embarrassing me lady" Koko came walking down the hallway from the back with a mug on her face in some shorts that were much longer than the ones from this morning and a big t-shirt.

"Guh, ain't nobody stutting you, get in that kitchen and cook that's what you do." Mrs. Lynn said looking at her daughter. Koko huffed and walked into the kitchen

"Huff again, you might be 21 but I'll beat ya like ya 12 don't play with me lil girl okay." Koko didn't say anything and went in the fridge to take the food out.

"Let's try this again OKAY" Mrs. Lynn looked at Koko with her eyebrows raised "Yes ma'am I hear you ma" Koko looked at her mom with a sort of stank look on her face and then went back to what she was doing "I thought so, ooo lemme walk away for I slap that little girl cause her attitude is horrible today. Ain't nobody did nun to your little spoiled ass" Mrs. Lynn grumbled walking causing Ush to shake his head and chuckle

"She some else man" Ush said and I nodded "She like my mama she don't play witcha" I replied. "She sholl don't she used to stay tagging my ass when I was little but she love me like I'm her own" Ush explaining "I can tell" I said looking at Koko and I could tell some was wrong "Go talk to her" Ush nudged me and I got up and he walked away.

I looked in the living room and everyone was talking and laughing and in their own world so I walked into the kitchen and stood against the island with my arms folded and watched her move around the kitchen.

She had the cabbage on the stove boiling, she had the chicken in the sink already seasoned waiting for the grease and she was making the macaroni right now.
