"Oh, I'm really gonna miss waking up and seeing you butt naked in Michael's kitchen making coffee, Cal," I joked waterily, feeling Calum's chest rumble as he chuckled, his arms squeezing me tightly.
"Let's be honest," he laughed, rubbing my back. "Who wouldn't?"
"It was truly an honor," I rolled my eyes as I pulled away, patting his arm. "I can honestly say, that was an experience I'll probably never have again."
"Only until Michael brings you down to visit us for your next break," he grinned, glancing over at Michael who was currently rushing to get all of the snacks he needed from one of the airport stores, even though it was only a forty-five minute flight.
"By then you guys will be halfway around the world," I said softly, knowing good things would happen for them quickly.
"I'm gonna miss you," Calum's lips stretched into a full smile and he pulled me against his chest, squeezing me so tight, I was sure my eyes would pop out of my head.
"Say hi to Kay for me, yeah?" I asked when he let go again and he nodded vigorously, his eyes lighting up at the mention of her name.
"Of course," he promised, grabbing his bags off of the floor. "We'll see you soon, yeah?"
"Of course." I promised, squeezing his shoulder one last time before giving him a wave as he turned on his heel to say his goodbyes to Reese.
"Good luck." Calum smiled.
"You too."
I sighed, rubbing at my eyes as I looked around the airport for Michael. Saying goodbye to Calum was unpleasant enough and the worse had yet to come. Even though I had come to terms with the fact that the boys were leaving today, that didn't make it any easier to let it happen.
I was interrupted from my thoughts when I felt a light tap on my shoulder.
"Lana?"
I turned around, my eyes meeting hazel ones and my lips immediately formed a grin. "Ashton!"
"Hey - oof!" Ashton grunted in surprise as I threw my arms around him, squeezing him tightly. "I don't think anyone's ever been this excited to see me."
"I thought you already got on the plane," I admitted, giving him one last squeeze before letting go. "I didn't know whether ot not you would say goodbye."
"Of course I would!" he giggled stuffing his hands into his pockets. As he did, his eyes widened slightly. "I almost forgot!"
"What?" I chuckled, amused by how excited he suddenly got.
"I wanted to give you these," Ashton said, pulling out a few little rectangular shaped things I quickly recognized as Ashton's polaroids. He placed a few into my hands and I immediately recognized the two main people in the pictures as Michael and I that I didn't remember taking.
"Ashton," I spoke softly, overwhelmed with gratitude as I scanned through the photos. "When did you take these?"
"Well um, that one was taken after the first gig you went to," Ashton said referring to the picture I was currently looking at. Michael and I were seated at the old bar in Scott's giggling over something that must have been hilarious as we were hunched over on our stools, clinging to our bottles for dear life.
