Chapter 5

Anna’s POV;

As me and Zayn were talking I could hear mom and dad yelling at eachother downstairs, I really didn’t get why she was still here with him, I had asked her but she never really answerred. Once again they were disagreeing about my upbringing and I was so happy that after this summer they won’t have any say about it anymore, Zayn and I were going to London together to study to become teachers like we’ve both been wanting for years now. Suddenly it became quiet downstairs and so I motioned to Zayn to be quiet as well so I could hear what was happening but I didn’t hear a thing. ‘What’s going on?’ he whisperred and I shrugged, ‘Don’t know, I don’t hear anything’ and as I said that my mom came in. ‘Hi sweety, Hi Zayn,’ she said looking past me. Zayn motioned he was going inside and take a shower so I could talk to my mom for a bit and I nodded. ‘What’s wrong mom? You look like something is wrong?’ I asked her as I saw she had wet eyes, she had been crying. ‘I just, I wanted to apologize for your dad & I, I know this isn’t easy for you and you probably don’t understand a lot of things about us but trust me, don’t worry about it, ok?’ And I just started crying, ‘I can’t mom! I can’t stop worrying about you. He is such an ass and you deserve better and yet you’re still here while you know you don’t have to be, at least, not for me, I’d actually be glad to be rid of that tiran.’ And she gave a little smile, ‘I know, sweety, I know, but I have my reasons for staying and one day you’ll understand.’ ‘Why not now mom?!’ I yelled at her, ‘Why not now?!’ and she looked down. ‘It’s really complicated and I don’t want to burden you with it. That’s the end of the discussion ok?’ And I nodded and she gave me a hug and walked out. I layed down on my dad and just thought what in the world could be so complicated and a reason to stay here? It wasn’t for me, I knew that, but then what could it be?
