A/N: I might not be updating so much because I'm on holiday 😁 but I'll try! ;)

Night fell and the plan was ready. Joey knew the positions of every security camera in the facility and the routes that the guards patrolled. I put a bandana on, covering the bottom half of my face and I tossed one to Joey.

"Thanks." He said with a smile, pulling it on. His was a simple black bandana, but mine had a huge mouth with sharp teeth on. It looked kind of scary but that was the point.

"No problem. Now, we need to get out of here." He nodded and we exited our room quietly, the black jumpsuits appearing on our bodies. We would need to be careful about speeding around because there were sensors on the floor, according to Joey. We would need to tread carefully.

I looked around quickly and flattened myself against a wall, out of the first camera's view. It was hidden just around the corner, slowly sweeping the area. Joey went the other way and I watched his figure grow smaller and smaller until he was out of sight. Then I felt my body dissolve for the first time in months. It felt a little uncomfortable as I hadn't done it in a while but it didn't take long. I floated upwards and moved over to the security camera, hovering just below it. Slowly, my body began to remodel and I looked up at the camera in satisfaction as I realised that I was just out of sight. With one fluid hand motion, I yanked it from the wall and held it, channeling my power to my hands. Everything was silent for a moment as the camera started to melt between my fingers.

Alarms suddenly wailed from every direction.

I cussed under my breath and started to zoom down the corridor towards the nearest exit. Guards suddenly shot round the corner and I created a wall of fire in front of me, my eyes glowing red. The guards backed away slightly in fear and I stared at them a second longer before extinguishing the fire and zooming past them down the corridor. They started to chase me again and some more came at me from the opposite direction.

I was trapped.

I raised both of my arms and aimed at each group. They had guns and they were preparing to shoot me. My eyes glowed green as they shot and the bullets stopped midair. The guards stared at me with wide eyes before charging at me. I panicked and my eyes glowed red with fear.

Suddenly, a huge fire erupted from my palms and hovered above me, changing shape. It slowly began to become something very familiar. The fire dragon. The guards started to run away in terror and I caught a glimpse of the exit, just around the corner. I shot down the corridor, fire dragon dissipating, and tried the handle.

Locked.

Groaning in annoyance, I yanked the handle down and it broke off in my hand. Oops. Panic surged through my body and my eyes flashed green. The door flew off its hinges, clattering loudly onto the ground outside and I winced. I zoomed through the opening and my speed instantly slowed as the black jumpsuit disappeared from my body. Damn, that would've been useful as well. I started to run again and I felt lights beginning to probe the area, as if I was a convict that had just escaped from jail. I dared a look back and realised that only a tiny part of the facility was visible, due to the fact that most of it was underground. Someone came running from the same exit that I had come from and I ducked behind some rocks in fear. The person looked around frantically and a few guards started to chase him. He came a bit closer and I realised that it was Joey. There was no way that he would escape those guards.

"Joey!" I exclaimed, rising above the rocks momentarily. He spotted me and ran towards me, fear etched across his face.

"Chris, the plan failed! We're screwed now!" He exclaimed, panting. I shook my head firmly and stood up.
