I reached home and I couldn't get my mind off manik........
"why was he crying . whats bothering him, is he alright? " such questions kept running through my mind
time : 2 a.m
I couldn't sleep thinking about him . just then my phone flashed an unknown number
I picked it up
*phone convo*
N (nandini) : hello who's there
M : its me manik
N : MANIK!!! tumhe mera number kahan se mila
M : kab kahan kyun kaisi choro . just come down .......
N : come down ? where
M : Einstein ! I am in front of your house just come down right now
(I walked up to the window and saw him standing right beside his car )
N : manik tum yahan kya kar rahe ho ? just go ok
M : nandini I don't have time for all of this . tum neecche a rahi ho ya main upar aaun
N : ok fine I am coming
*end of phone convo*
I went down and slowly opened the door making sure nobody heard me
MANIK!! what are you doing here . tumhe pata hai agar chacha chachi dekh lete toh kya hota . manik do you have any idea ke tum kitni stupid cheezain karte ho kabhi kab....... I was interrupted by his finger on my lips
"tum kabhi chup hoti ho" he said
"manik what are you doing here so late" I asked politely
"i needed someone to talk to" he said in a low tone
"and you came to me" I said in a shocked voice
"i didn't know who to go to . I didn't want to go to my friends.....I just didn't feel like" he said with a lot of pain in his voice
"manik are you alright" I asked
"no I am not. I am tired of my life . I am tired of my mother huh what mother NIYONIKA taking away everything that's important to me . I am tired of being away from my dad . I am sick of fighting with this world , I just don't know what to do . main kya kar raha hun , main yahan tumhare paas kyun aaya hun I just don't know"
before he could say anything else I pulled him close and hugged him
"everything's gonna be alright manik . haarne ke dar se ham larna toh nahi chor sakte na . life is all about ups and downs . the greater you fall the better you rise ."
listening to this he calmed down and suddenly I felt two strong arms holding my waist
"manik the most important thing in life is to always look at the bright side and the people who stand by your side when you need them and I know that you have great friends in your life who would always be there for you"
we pulled away and he just stared at me for a while
"i guess you are right " he said
"so friends" i asked
"i guess" he smiled and replied
"are you ok now FRIEND" i asked him
" i think so FRIEND" he said
as we both bursted into laughter
'"ok mr friend you should go now . if chachi woke up na iam so dead"
he smiled and said "fine I am leaving and thanks"
"your welcome . now goooo :)"
"bye" he said and left
