thank you guys for all the support that you have been giving to my story I am a really hasty and immature writer , I don't plan at all before writing , I just imagine and start writing , but you guys have been so supportive and that means a lot to me so here I have a really long part for you and I hope you like it :).............
*IT WAS THE NIGHT BEFORE THE DUET SHOWDOWN*
I was lying in my bed just recollecting the sweet memories of my birthday , when my phone rang flashing manik's name ,( I mean like seriously who else could it be ) I thought to myself and answered
*phone convo*
N : manik . tumne time dekha hai . itni raat koi koi kisi ko phone karta hai kya
M : kyun tum so rahi thi
N : han ( I lied)
M : acha toh phir tumhare room ki lights kyun on hain . huh?
N : mere room ki lights who toh aise hee............ wait . wait , tumhe kaise pata ke mere room ki lights on hain
M : tum abhi bhi nahi samjhi . idiot main neeche hun ..........aur han kuch bhi bole bina neeche a jao
N : but manik suno toh
( and before I could say anything , manik ended the call , I mean what would I do with this guy) I thought to myself as I grabbed a shawl and left to see him
* I went down and saw him standing beside his car *
I came close to him and before I could say anything he started imitating me
M : OMG! MANIK TUM YAHAN ITNI RAAT KO KYA KAR RAHE HO TUM KABHI SERIOUS NAHI HO SAKTE KISI NE DEKH LIYA TOH and blah blah blah
* I playfully puched his arm*
M : yahi sab kuch bolne wali thi na tum ab maine bol diya toh ab baghair kuch bole just come with me
N : manik tumne time dekha hai iss time pe ham dono kahan jainge aur koi uth ke mere room main chala gaya toh , I would be in great trouble
M : nandini murthy tum kabse darne lagi huh
N : main darti nahi hun ok .
M : toh phir chalo mere saath
N : fine , but hum ja kahan rahe hain
M : tumhare liye ek surprise hai
N : ek aur surprise , manik batao na kya hai please please pleeeassee ( I said with a cute pout which made him smile)
M : hello ! u 5 year old little girl , surprise ka matlab pata hai na
N : han tum mujhe kyun batao ge
M : ab chalain ya saari raat yahin khare rehne ka plan hai
*he drove for an hour and we reached this dark place between a lot of trees out of the city*
NANDINI'S P.O.V :
it was really dark and I wont deny the fact that I was really scared . but still I wasn't worried because I knew that manik is with me , as soon as he stopped the car I could hear the owls hoot , the birds chirping when I realized it was a place far from the city and that though sent chills down my spine and I was literally shivering
End of p.o.v
N : manik yeh hum kahan hain
M : hey ! don't worry , I am there
* and just then manik held me from my waist and lifted me up making me sit on the the roof of his car*
N : manik what are you doing , put me down
M : shhh nandini
* he came and lied on the other side *
M : nandini , just lie down and wait for it
N : whait for what , tigers to come and eat us
M : yaar nandini don't spoil it , stop making noise and just lie down
N : ok fine
*he kept staring at the stars and I kept staring at his face shining in the moon light*
M : they're just so beautiful
N : so you like stars
M : I love them , the shine bright in the darkness . but this is not what we came for
N : then ?
M : wait , it can happen any moment
* I smiled as I rubbed my hands because it was really cold , he saw this and came a little close*
M : its cold na, that's why
N : yeah it is ( as I rested my head on his shoulder)
* he looked at me and smiled , while our eyes were locked into each others *
and there it was ,MY SURPRISE .
M : nandini look! ( he said breaking our eye contact )
* and then I saw so many fire flies everywhere , they all looked so beautiful . lighting up the darkness everywhere *
( manik this is so beautiful ) I exclaimed
He slowly got off the car and took out a jar from the back seat , and started catching fireflies , I got up and smiled looking at his cuteness . he caught 5 fireflies and came back .
M : here , its your birthday gift
N : aww , manik . thank you ( thank god he didn't notice the tears in my eyes)
M : but tell me something , why do you love these fire flies so much
N : because of my mom
he didn't ask anything else because he knew I was really sensitive when it came to my parents as the aren't there with me anymore
* and we spent 4 hours lying on the roof of his car as I rested my head on his shoulder adoring the stars and fireflies which kept appearing every now and then and I didn't realize when I fell asleep , i felt someone caressing my cheek and i woke up , i was in the car and in front of my house *
M : thank god , tm uthi toh sahi mujhe toh laga ke shayad aaj puri raat tumhare saath yahan car main hee sona pare ga
( i smiled and playfully hit his arm)
N : thank you manik, this was the night that i'll remember forever
M : anything for you , chalo ab go warna sab uth jain ge ( he smirked)
i walked upto the door and turned around to wave him , he waved back and got into his car he looked at me and smiled , and left and at that moment I realized how beautiful can one person make your life ...........
