Her face looked pale and dull as if she had been sick for a long while , not being able to se her break down any further , he picked her up in his arms settling himself on the window seat , cuddling her in his arms as if she was a new born whom he was trying to console

N : I was scared *she said in a low tone snuggling a bit more in his chest*
M : I was too , tum apna khayal kyun nahi rakh sakti huh ? *he said angrily* kisi ko bhi room main aane de do gi kya . Kuch ho jata tumhe toh...............

N : manik you can't break down if you want me to be strong , you are my strength , my shoulder to rely on , if you break down I'll break down as well .... *she said as she placed a kiss on his forehead , she could sense his breath becoming even indicating that he is fine and he said nothing but just pulled her into a bone crushing hug .

N : I am sorry too

M : and yeah don't worry main aaj hee amms se baat krne wala hun , let's just change your sir name a soon as possible *he said winking at her* After a while nandini fell asleep cuddled in his arms sitting on his lap with her head resting on his chest as he just sat there stroking her hair and just adoring her when he heard the door opening as amms and yuvraaj walked in and smiled watching her sleep like a baby in his lap , manik saw them and straightened himself a bit , he picked her up in his arms and placed her on the bed covering her with a duvet
Am : is she fine now ?
M : yes she is better , I need to talk to you both

They left for the living room and he turned back to nandini , he tucked her in bed properly as he kissed her forehead and whispered an I love you on her hair to which she smiled in her sleep and he left
