Unexpected House Guest ( Book 1 )

Chapter 20

In this chapter I will be introducing Eddie Capone into the story. When you read the description of Eddie just picture the actor Dewayne (The Rock) Johnson. That's who I had in mind when I wrote this character.  :)

The next morning Kirstie called Kevin and told him that she had told Avi everything including the part of them wanting to go to Fast Eddie's. She told him that Avi wanted them to tell Eddie about him.

The bar/pool hall opened at 11:00. The bar wouldn't get busy until later that evening. So Kevin would pick her up around 12:00.

She went upstairs to get dressed. She didn't want to dress to fancy but she didn't want to look like a tramp either. She slipped on a pair of black skinny jeans, a white button down blouse and a black leather jacket with boots. She straighten her hair and wore it down then applied just a little bit of make-up.

As she was coming down stairs, she met Avi coming from the basement. 

"Dang girl, you look hot." He grabs her into a hug and starts nibbling her on the neck. She giggles as his beard tickles her.

"Don't get anything started, Mr. Kaplan. Kevin will be here any minute." She says pushing him away.

"I can't believe I'm letting you leave with another man to go meet another man. Am I crazy." Avi smiles.

"You have nothing to worry about my little handsome ghost." She says giving him a quick kiss as there was a knock on the door.

Avi turned and headed for the door.

"STOP RIGHT THERE, MISTER!!" Kirstie says with a raised voice. Avi stops right in his tracks. She shoots him a dirty look as she goes to answer the door to a laughing Kevin.

"You getting in trouble again Avi?" Kevin ask laughing.

Avi pouts and nods still haven't moved from where he had stopped.

"He's always getting into trouble," Kirstie says kissing his pout lips, "Now go find something to do and I'll be back later. And DON'T WORRY."

They quickly arrived at the pool hall. There were only a couple of cars in the parking lot but it was still early.They got out of the car and walked to the front door. They looked at each other, took a deep breath then walked inside.

All was pretty quiet inside, there were a couple of elderly men sitting at a table having a beer. 

There were two men behind the bar. One guy maybe in his early thirties with blonde hair smiled at them as they entered. "What can I get for ya?" He ask with a smile as they walked up to the bar.

"Uh, we were just looking for Eddie Capone." Kirstie said quietly suddenly becoming very nervous.

The blonde pointed to a very muscular, bald headed man sitting at the end of the bar reading a newspaper. "That's Eddie."

"Thank-you" Kirstie said glancing at Kevin who looked as nervous as she was.

They slowly walked toward the man. He looked to be around forty, kind of dark shin, wearing a very tight t-shirt showing off a very muscular body. His huge arms covered with tattoos. Avi was right, he was quite scary looking.

"Mr. Capone?" Kirstie asked nervously.

He looks up from his paper with a friendly toothy smile, "Yes? What can I do for you beautiful?"

She smiled, quite the charmer he is, "We were wondering if we could talk to you for a minute?"

His smile fades as he starts folding up the newspaper. "If you're a cop or some kind of detective," He then looks her right in the eyes, "HELL NO!"

Kirstie had to swallow a huge lump that had rose up in her throat before she could speak, "Oh no sir, we are not cops or anything. My name is Kirstie Maldonado and this here is my friend Kevin Olusola.

The smile is finally back (Thank God) as he politely shakes their hands.

"Please, just call me Eddie." he says with a smile.

"Eddie," Kirstie repeats with a smile starting to relax some. "I recently bought a home once owned by Avriel Kaplan."

His smile fades but there was softness in his eyes, "Avi? You bought Avi's house?" He smiled softly as if he was remembering his friend.

So that was the introduction of 'Fast' Eddie Capone.
