Chapter 35

They spent rest of the evening laughing, talking and just reliving old times.

After Eddie said his good-byes and left, Kirstie called Kevin. She explained to him what they wanted him to research. They needed to find a safe way for Avi to leave the house. He told her he would get started right away and would let her know just as soon as he found something.

Avi was excited but was trying not to get his hopes up. Besides it was pretty scary. What if something goes wrong? What is these people are a bunch of quacks and is just making this stuff up for readers amusement? What if he tries it and it throws him into some sort of abyss or black hole? There were so many 'what if's'. He was pretty nervous about the whole thing.

Kirstie gets up the next morning and goes down stairs to see Avi's orb floating near the ceiling. She smiles and goes into the kitchen. She sees a note on the microwave door that read "EAT ME!". "What a dork." She giggles to herself. She opened the door to find an omelet that he had made for her. "But a sweet dork."

She couldn't wait to hear from Kevin to see if he had found anything. She could tell Avi was a little nervous about it.

She just wanted him happy. She could tell he was bored out of his mind stuck in that house. But what if something goes wrong? She didn't want to lose him. Her phone ringing startled her out of her thoughts. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw Kevin's name on the ID.

"Kevin, have any luck?" She says as soon as she answered.

"Well, Good Morning to you too Sunshine." Kevin chuckles.

"Yea, yea." She says grumpily, "Find anything?"

"Oh, I might have." Kevin says. "You know studying the paranormal is quite interesting. Did you know that..."

Kirstie interrupts him. "Oh for heaven's sake Kevin! Cut the crap and get over here!"

Kevin laughs, "Someone must have not gotten any last night."

"OH MY GOD, KEVIN! YOU ARE BEGINNING TO SOUND JUST LIKE MITCH!! And that's scary. Now, if you know what's good for you, you'd get over here." Kirstie said trying to sound angry.

"O.K., O.K., I'm on my way." Kevin said laughing. No one wanted to mess with that little woman that early in the morning.

She cleans up her dishes then goes to the living room to wait on Kevin. She sits down on the couch and looks up at the little orb. "You're gonna have to hurry up." She tells it. "Kevin has some news and he's on his way."

She sits there just staring at the orb until she hears a knock on the door. She jumps up and runs to the door to a waiting Kevin. She grabs his arm and pulls him into the living room. She plops down on the couch and pats the seat beside her.

"Well? What? What did you find out?" She ask excited to know.

Kevin sit down calmly and looked around. "Where's Avi?" He ask.

She points to the orb.

"Oh, O.K., Well don't you think we need to wait for the guest of honor first? But I would love some coffee, while we wait." He says folding his hands in his lap. He knew this was eating Kirstie up alive. Revenge is so sweet.

"UGH!! ALRIGHT!!" She jumps up and yells at the little orb, "WILL YOU HURRY YOUR ASS UP!!!!!"
