"Well, first we have to get through with this party. And then tomorrow we'll talk to Eddie to see what he thinks." Kirstie says looking around, "Let's just try and have a good time, O.K.?" Rubbing Avi on the arm and kissing him lightly.
He nods waving his hand again causing the music to start back up. Everyone started moving again just like nothing ever happened.
"Well, Tammy it was nice meeting you. I really need to get back to mingling." Kirstie said with the best smile she could muster up.
"It was nice meeting you too. Maybe we could hang out sometime." Tammy said with another one of her fake smiles.
"Ooooo, I would love that. Soon, O.K.? See ya." Kirstie said turning around letting her fake smile fade.
Avi leans over and whispers in her ear, "That's how ya do it. Blow smoke up her ass."
Kirstie rolls her eyes, "I need a drink."
"Me too." Avi smirks.
Kirstie goes to the bar and fixes her a drink then sits down on a bar stool. Avi sits beside her. She was watching Scott and Mitch on the dance floor. Both were drunk to the limit.
She starts to take a sip of her drink only to find it empty. She huffed and looked around at her annoying ghost. He was also watching the couple on the dance floor but had a smirk on his face.
"Aviiiii." She says through gritted teeth.
"What?" He says innocently. "Actually you need to make us another one of those." He says then gives her a goofy smile.
She sits her empty glass back on the bar, "Actually I can't get my mind off of HER."
"No, No, No, You are NOT gonna let that slime bag ruin this party for you." Avi says standing up. "Come on, let's dance."
She eyes him for a minute, "You know, you're right. I've been too excited about this party to let her ruin it. Let's dance."
Fixing her (and him) another drink they head to the dance floor. After a few more drinks, Kirstie was relaxed and having a good time. She didn't know whether or not alcohol would have any effect on Avi. But it did, it just took a little longer.
But he was a very happy little drunk.
They laughed so hard when he started doing body rolls on a very embarrassed and sober Kevin. And Kirstie couldn't help but laugh when Avi dumped a glass of red wine on Tammy's pretty white (very short) dress, causing her to leave very angry.
The crowd began to get thinner and Avi made sure to holler and wave to each person that left. Soon it was just the five.
Kevin turned off the music, to have a little peace and quiet. Scott and Mitch were sitting on the love seat. Mitch had passed out and Scott had started in on the coffee trying to sober up. Kevin was walking around cleaning up the place a little.
Kirstie was laying on the couch playing with Avi's hair. Avi was sitting on the floor leaning back on the couch near Kirstie's head. He had come down off his alcoholic high and was definitely feeling the effects.
"Oh my God," he said rubbing his face with his hands. "I didn't know a dead person could hurt this bad."
