~Jeff~
"Turn the lights down low.
Walk these halls alone.
We can feel so far from so close.
Like ships in the night, you keep passing me by.
We're just wasting time, trying to prove who's right."
There was a time when I believed that I was a normal killer, with a not so normal past. It was times like that, that made me want to kill myself. But now, knowing that I'm not a normal killer, I can live again with knowing that I'm still different. And knowing that I will have someone waiting for me on the other side of these walls, brings me utter happiness.
I look at the plain gray walls that surround me, the toilet sitting across from the small and uncomfortable bed that I'm laying on, my hands officially uncuffed but still sore. I look up at the ceiling, and sigh loudly, being the only person on this floor and in my block. "Shut your mouth." I hear a guard shout from in front of my bars. I sigh loudly once more, a smirk playing on my face as I hear him growl. "Just ignore him. He's purposely trying to anger you."
I recognize the voice of the chief, making my blood boil. "I'm just busy thinking." I grumble. standing up and grabbing the cell bars. "What are you thinking about Jeffrey?" Chief questions, a small smile on his face as he stares at me from the other side. "Charlie. Now give me a damn face mask so I can go to sleep." I argue, holding my hand out, waiting to be given one. Chief chuckles before handing it over to me, allowing me to walk over to walk over to the bed. I sigh in content after putting the mask on, laying my head against the pillow I'm given.
I make sure I stay awake so I can hear what they talk about. "So, who is this Charlie person?" Rob, the guard who watches me over the day, says to the chief no doubt. "Charlie is this girl that he was apparently 'protecting'. I guess there's another killer after Charlie. Jane The Killer? I'm sure you've heard of her. Anyway, little Jeffrey here is in love with her as well; and it seems she is with him too. Also, I said she's allowed to visit whenever she likes, so if she shows up sometime, that's why." I listen as the chief's voice starts to disappear. "I don't understand how someone could ever love someone of his kind. No wonder he's hated by so many." Rob laughs, walking away from the cell.
"Hey! Get off of me!" I bolt awake, ripping my mask off carefully, and heading over to the bars just to see Charlie pinned up against the wall from Rob. I growl loudly, getting his attention, making both of them look at me, my eyes focusing on the guard. "Let. Her. Go." I growl again, banging against the bars. "You know what, I think I'll hang onto her for a little longer." I watch in anger as Rob starts sucking on Charlie's neck. "Jeff!" Charlie screams helplessly. I look down and start to visually measure the sizes of the bars. I'll be able to fit through.
I start to slide my leg out first, sucking my gut in an wiggling my way out, my head somehow not getting stuck. Before I can praise myself, the guard bites down on Charlie's neck, causing her to scream again. I tackle the guard to the ground, my fist connecting with his face. "Don't fucking touch her!" I scream at him, the sound of multiple footsteps not worrying me. I keep beating down on the guards face, my anger radiating off of my body in waves. "Freeze!" multiple officers, plus the chief says, pointing their guns at me.
I look up at all of them, the urge to kill hitting me like a train. "I'll fucking kill you." I hiss down at Rob, who's face is all beaten and broken. "Charlie, get away from him. He's unstable!" Chief screams at her, Charlie shaking her head. "Jeff, come on and get up. For me." Charlie whispers gently, walking over to me and placing a hand on my back. I start to get off of the guard who scurries away backwards, bumping into someone's legs. I turn around and look at Charlie who is looking up at me with worry. "I'm okay. Are you okay?" I ask, turning her head to the side gently and getting a look at her neck, seeing a bruise form.
I growl and look over at the bloody guard. "You will never, ever touch her again. Got it?" I hiss at him, only to get multiple head nods. I nod my head once and look over at Charlie about to say something, only to get tackled into a giant hug. I chuckle and hug her back. "It feels good to hug you. I haven't in a while." I whisper in her ear, running a hand through her hair. "I know, we haven't done a lot of things together in a while." Charlie cries quietly into my chest, causing me to sigh quietly and rock her back and forth.
"It's been a month since you've been in here Jeff. I can't take it. There's so many things that we haven't done together in so long. Cook together, cuddle, so many things. I can't handle it." Charlie repeats, her face going to my neck instead, causing me to pull apart from our hug and wipe her tears. "You still have my knife right?" I whisper in her ear, watching as all of the police slowly start to disperse from around us, only leaving the original guard who is getting cleaned up, and the chief. "Jeff, we're moving you into another cell. One that doesn't have bars since you obviously managed to get out. Now cooperate and allow me to handcuff you."
I look over at the chief with pure hatred in my eyes. "You should be fucking glad that I was able to get out of my cell to protect Charlie. That fucker over there was kissing her neck and shit. I'm not standing for that." I growl, turning Charlie sideways gently, allowing him to see the bruise on her neck. "Well, seeing as there is proof, Rob will be fired. However, we're still going to move you." I shake my head, pissed off, getting ready to walk over to him so he can handcuff me.
"Excuse me chief?" Charlie pipes in, grabbing my bicep and making me stop. "I'd like to walk him to his new cell if that's okay. He won't try getting away from me or anything if I'm beside him." she explains, still hanging on to me. "I guess there isn't a problem with that then if you can keep him controlled." Chief smiles at her, waving for her to lead me after him. I carefully intertwine our hands together while walking towards the stairs that lead us to the main floor. When we walk up, there's screaming and crying.
I look over at Charlie and quickly make her stand behind me, my hand still in hers. "I don't like the feeling up here. I want Charlie to go back down there." I look over at chief immediately who had seemed to have read my mind. "Jeff? Is there something wrong?" Charlie whispers while gripping my sweater tightly. I shush her and keep on walking, following after the chief, only to see blood on the floor. I bite my lip and look around, feeling the presence of someone unwanted.
I look around when I here a giggle. "I need my knife." I growl, having a feeling of knowing who's here. "It's in my bag." Charlie immediately says, grabbing it out of her bag, and handing it over to me. "Why are you holding onto his knife?" Chief hisses, getting ready to grab it from me. "There's another killer here who is more of a danger to you and Charlie then me chief. Trust me on this one." I hiss at him, gripping my knife tightly, seeing the silhouette of her.
"Jeff."
