~Charlie~

"Would you go with me, if we were lost in fields of clover?

Would we walk even closer, until the trip was over?

And, would it be okay, if I didn't know the way?

I wake up in the morning to a slight breeze blowing against my face. I peek one eye open and see Jeff pacing back and forth, looking at me and then looking at the window while walking. I sit up slowly, my ankle still in pain. "Jeff. Are you alright? You're creating a draft." is all I say, hoping that'll lift his mood. "Am I okay? No I'm not okay! Jane is after you and me, and you expect me to be okay? She won't stop until she has what she wants. And you Charlie, are an object for danger!" Jeff shouts, not particularly mad at me.

"Okay Jeff. Why don't you just take deep breaths, and help me downstairs so I can cook us a breakfast okay?" I ask smoothly, hoping it'll all blow over. He looks over at me with what I presume to be a blank look since he has the permanent smile on his face. "This is just something that can blow over Charlie. We need to find a way for you and I, both to stay safe without dying. I have an idea, but, I don't think you'll like it. Actually, two ideas. Both, I don't think you'll like." he says while sitting on my bed right next to me sighing. "Hit me with your best shot Jeff. I bend to ideas really easily." is all I say, trying to pry them out of him.

I hear another sigh escape his mouth. I groan and move behind him, ignoring my aching ankle. "What are you doing?" Jeff asks, quickly getting defensive. "Just trust me." is all I say. I put my hands on his shoulders and start to give him a shoulder massage. I hear a light moan come out of his mouth. I smile and say, "I guess this is comforting you, now, why don't you tell me those ideas of yours?" I quietly ask, trying to keep him calm.

"Well, both ideas would involve you having move out and away from your family and Christian, so they don't get put into danger since Jane is after you and I." he starts off, waiting for my answer. "Go on." "Well, the first idea is that you can move into the Creepy Pasta house, which, is where Slender Man, myself, and other killers' live. They wouldn't hurt you if they knew that Slender liked you. The second idea, is where that I take you to a secret house that I used to live in a long time ago... It's still stocked with food that's fresh. I go there on occasion just to reminisce about things. But, you have to go with me." Jeff finishes. I sigh and stop the shoulder massage.

"Well Jeff, if I'm honest; neither of those ideas are something that I want to do, but, if it keeps my family safe, I'd like to choose the second one." I mumble. "Really? I didn't think you'd be up for that." he whispers, turning around cupping my cheek lightly. "Like I said, it keeps me safe, and also my family. Plus, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't take Jane to that house." I mumble, not liking the way my voice is sounding.

"Charlie, you don't have to move out. You can stay here, even if it puts your family in danger. I'd be watching you as much as I can, until I have to kill. Then, I'd have one of my friends come and watch over you." he clarifies. "I understand that, but, I'd rather have my family be safe, and be watched by you." I state smiling a little.

"When do you want me to start packing?" "As soon as you can. You can leave a note for you parents and brother explaining things. Just, not to much detail. You can take your phone to keep in contact with whom ever you decide, but, if you go out somewhere, you have to let me know so I can watch you from a distance or have someone else do it." I nod my hand and try standing up. I manage to do so without falling over, causing Jeff to smile. I head over to my closet and pull out two black suitcases.

"So, if you're colorblind, how can you see certain colors and make your outfits match?" Jeff asks, trying to lighten the mood. "Well, I only have problems with certain colors. For instance, I mix up reds with pinks, and so on. Black is an obvious color for me." I finish. I look in my vanity mirror and see him nod his head. After another five minutes of me packing my clothes, I grab a small toiletry bag and pack it with my toothpaste, toothbrush, comb, hairbrush, shampoo and conditioner, tampons, pads, and everything else that is necessary. I walk out of my bathroom and put that in another suitcase filled with special mementos. I look over at Jeff and give him an approving nod that I'm ready. He picks up a few of my bags and walks downstairs with them with me following. I walk into the kitchen as he waits by the door. I grab a pen and a note pen, my eyes watering a little bit.

Mom, dad, Jacob -

Don't worry about me. I'll be fine. I have to leave to keep you safe. Dad, I took value into your worry, but it happened anyway. I'm not leaving because of him, I'm leaving because of a girl who is also a killer. I love you all, and I'm going to live with him so he can protect me. I'm a big girl, I can take care of myself, I'll call you guys soon. I love you all so very, very much. See you soon, your daughter,

Charlie

I finish the note and leave it on the fridge before walking into the living room to see Jeff twirling his knife in his had. "I'm ready." Is all I say, looking at him smiling. "Alright, lets go. This house I'm taking you to, is in the town next over, Jane doesn't know we're leaving, and isn't around. So, we need to hurry. We'll grab a car on the way." I nod my head, looking back inside my now, empty house. I turn off the lights, and walk out, locking the door with my key, before slipping it into my pocket.

After about five minutes of Jeff and I walking through town, keeping hidden, we find an abandoned car with the keys in it. Jeff throws my stuff into the back seat before jumping into the car and starting it. I get it, slowly realizing that we're stealing someones car. "Don't worry. They won't care. Otherwise they wouldn't have left their car keys in here unattended. Also, I know how to drive." he says, basically reading my mind. After five minutes of pure silence, Jeff speaks up. "We have about a two hour car ride so get some rest. Also, are you ready for your new dangerous and risky life to start?" he asks, looking at me for a few seconds before looking back at the road. "Readier than I'll ever be." I whisper, leaning my head against the window, staring out at the fields before slowly falling asleep to the sound of Tim McGraw.
