"I wasn't looking for a knight, of any kind.
So lay down your armor; this is not a fight.
I wasn't looking for a prince, to convince.
I'm good enough for you, not about to bow before you now.
I never did believe in fairy tale stories."
After all of that shit with Jeff, I had to lay down and relax. I was going to make something to snack on, like pudding or something, but I just wasn't up to it. "I feel like I'm going to be sick." I mumble, hanging on to my stomach. I've always had problems with my stress levels. If something happens to me or my family, or anything at all that I think is important, I typically get stressed over it and it makes me sick. So this entire thing going on with Jane isn't helping. "Maybe I should walk around the house?" I whisper to myself, seeing a door that probably leads to a basement.
I walk over and open it, looking down into the dark looking passageway. "Is there a light switch anywhere?" I start to feel around the wall, and finally find one. I flick it and watch as the passage illuminates. I smile successfully before walking down there. I see a bunch of boxes, filled with thing. I start to read off the labels, "Statues, clothes, picture frames... pictures? That one seems interesting." I smile and walk over, taking off the boxes on top of it before opening it up. I smile at the first picture I see. I can recognize one boy as Jeff. "The other must be Liu." I mumble, looking at it and reading the back. "Liu's Twelfth Birthday." I look at the picture for a few more seconds before setting it on the ground, looking for more pictures. I see one of a baby. I grab it and stare at the baby for a second, before flipping it over and reading the back. "The day Jeff was born. He was such a cute baby." I say giggling, looking at some more pictures. I pick one up of his mother and notice how much he looked like her. "She's so pretty." I whisper. I hear a clap behind me and jump a few feet before looking behind me and seeing Jeff, sweater off, but blood on his face. "Hey, how'd it go?" I ask, putting the pictures away. "It went fine. Was some fun. I had to run through the town to find the guy that ran away. He gave me a chase so it was cool." he says, sitting down by me. I stare at the pictures nodding, coming up with and idea. I look deeper in the box before finding a camera that had some film in it. It was one of the older ones that print the pictures immediately. "So Jeff, I was looking through some of this pictures, and I came up with an idea." I say looking at him. "Okay?" he questions, staring at me for a moment. "Well, through out all of the pictures I've seen so far, I've only seen you before... you know. So I was thinking, why don't we take some pictures now, and add them to the box? So, there's some from the present. Or even start a new box." I say smiling looking at him. "I guess." he mumbles standing up. I smile and say, "Well, we're taking the first one now so stay still." he complies and I stand by him. I roll my eyes when he doesn't know what to do. After I set the camera up in a distance, I walk over and grab his arm before putting it around my waist. I put my right arm up on his shoulder and lean to my left a little bit, making a peace sign with my left hand, sticking my tongue out. I also made sure that Jeff was smiling. After the picture's taken, I smile and walk over to it and set it down so it develops the rest of the way. "Are we done now?" Jeff asks, staring at me. "One more. Wipe off your face for this one bro."
He groans in annoyance before wiping his face off with his black shirt. I smile and walk over after setting the camera up. I put his arm around my waist again before turning sideways and leaning up to kiss his cheek. Once the picture is taken, I walk over and grab both of them, before looking at Jeff, whose face is a little red. "Okay. We're done now. I grab the camera as well and head upstairs with Jeff behind me. Once upstairs, Jeff turns the light off and shuts the door, following me into the kitchen. I sit at the table with a permanent marker thinking about what to write on the back. I smile when I get an idea for the one with me doing the peace sign. I put the date and, She's knee deep and tied up, and unbeknownst to her, it doesn't matter how it stays here. I smile when I finish with that one, writing mine and Jeff's name on the back. I push the first picture up and grab the one with me kissing his cheek, putting the date and our names as well, before putting; I don't know where I'm going, but I'm bound to see; what I'm capable of if this world's taking me. And I know, he knows, she knows, we know; you can't change history, but history's what's changin' me.
I smile when I finish the picture. I let Jeff read the back of them, him smiling through out both of them. "So, what would you like for dinner?" I ask, standing up and walking over to the cabinets to see what's there. "Well, I'll cook, and I want cheeseburgers." I look over at Jeff like he grew two heads. "You can cook?" I ask, doubting it. "Yes, I can actually. And we'll both cook then." he mumbles. So, we grab some ingredients and start cooking.

I watch as Charlie grabs some of the beef out of the freezer before taking some meat off of it, about enough for four burgers. I watch her put it in a bowl, adding some onion power, garlic power, soul food seasoning, vegetable oil, parsley flakes, minced onion, and diced pieces of garlic. I hate to admit it, but those pictures we took earlier were cute. I keep watching as she mixes the meat with one hand. I frown staring at her finger that's broken. 'I didn't mean for her to break her finger.' I think to myself. I walk up behind her, leaving the macaroni noodles to boil. I wrap my arms around her so they're in front and put my hands in the meat with hers, and help her mix it together. I feel her slowly relax, leaning back a little so she's leaning into my chest as we mix the meat together. Our hands intertwining every once in a while.
Even after we both know that the seasonings are infused with the meat enough, we both keep massaging it, purposely trying to hold each others hands. After a few more minutes, I unwrap my arms from hers and head to the sink to wash my hands, Charlie right behind me. "So, thanks for helping me back there." she whispers, face a little red. I chuckle a little before saying, "It's fine. No problem." I head over to the stove and stir the noodles. I start thinking about Jane again and start to get pissed while I'm stirring, splashing water. I hear Charlie sigh before walking over to me and putting her hands on my shoulders, giving me a slow and comforting shoulder massage, trying to calm me down. Luckily, it works. I let out a quiet moan of pleasure as she keeps going.
After I become untense, she moves her hands down to my back to give me a back massage while I'm standing up. "You should really wait until after we eat to do this, or I'm going to fall asleep." I mumble turning my head to look at her. She giggles but nods her head, grabbing some plates. After we cook the cheeseburgers and finish the Mac & Cheese, we plate our food before sitting down at the table. I finish before Charlie, and smile coming up with and idea. I place all of the dirty dishes into the dishwasher after rinsing them, before walking behind her while shes eating, giving her a shoulder massage. That's when I notice how tense she actually is. "You know, you're more tense than I though you'd be. You really should tell me what you're feeling every once in a while. It'll help. Also tell me when I'm being an asshole." I hear her giggle before saying, "Like always? And you should tell me what you're feeling to you know." Charlie stands up and rinses her plate as well, before putting it away. "Why don't we just go to bed?" I ask, grabbing her hand and taking her to my old room. "All we do here is sleep. I'm okay with that." she giggles, face planting into my bed. I chuckle and take my shirt and pants off, my shoes already off. I notice Charlie's in a pair of sweat pants and a tank top. I nod my head climbing into the bed turning the light off. "Good night Jeff." I hear her whisper, turning so she's facing me, her eyes closed. I smile and say, "Good night Charlie."
