~Charlie~

"The smile on your face, lets me know that you need me.

There's a truth in your eyes, sayin' you'll never leave me.

The touch of your hand, says you'll catch me if ever I fall.

You say it best, when you say nothing at all."

I sing lightly, my black t-shirt hanging to my thighs. I start brushing out my hair, getting ready for bed. "What'cha doing?" Jeff asks, walking out from the shower. "I'm signing a song." I giggle, turning around to see him in only sweatpants. "What song is it?" he ponders, walking over so he's standing in front of me. "A song I heard on the radio the other day when I was at the hotel." I state, my smile fading a bit when remembering it.

Jeff sighs, and cups my cheek lightly, giving me a small smile. The lyrics start ringing through my head making me lean into his hand a little. I see him smile for a moment. "Why are you so upset all of a sudden?" I whisper, bringing my hand up to his to hold it to my face. "I failed to protect you. Jane could've killed you." he mumbles, looking over my face. "But I'm fine. Not to mention, I stabbed her. You on the other hand could've died." I whisper, lightly running my fingers over the stitches. "I could've, but I'm fine. And, you're family would've been happy that you had to move back in with them." he mumbles, moving to sit on the bed.

I sigh and walk over to the door, shutting and locking it. I walk back over and sit down next to him. "I'm happy to be here. It beats being at my house all alone all of the time. Plus, it means that I'm relatively safe. Plus, I like spending time with you." I lower my voice, trying to send a secret message. "Do you really?" Jeff asks, his voice getting quieter as if he wasn't sure if I was being serious. "I'm serious Jeff. I'd rather be with you than anywhere else." I whisper, leaning my head against his shoulders.

"Charlie..." Jeff begins, lifting my head up so he can see my face. I wait patiently for him to make the next move. Jeff slowly starts pushing me down on the bed, climbing on top of me. "Do whatever you want Jeff. I'm not stopping you." I whisper, my hands laying above my head, my right leg completely flat while me left leg is slightly bent; Jeff's body in between my legs. "I don't want to hurt you." he whispers, laying his head down on my chest. "Then go gentle." I mumble, squeezing the bottom of the pillow that I can reach.

Jeff slowly lifts his head and looks me in the eyes, causing me to smile lightly. Jeff slowly climbs up onto me a little more. I start to close the distance between us, my lips molding into his. Jeff's hand comes up and grabs a fistful of my hair gently, not pulling, just holding. I continue to kiss him gently, Jeff kissing back just as gentle. I slowly start closing my eyes while kissing him, ignoring how his eyes are forever unblinking.

Jeff detaches our lips and moves his down my jaw, slowly to my neck, kissing it softly in multiply spots. I start to breath in uneven breaths. Jeff kisses right above my pulse, making me let out a quiet moan. He smiles when he finds my sweet spot. He starts to lightly suck on it, making me quicken my breathing along with moving my hands to his hair. "Jeff." I breath out, turning my head more so he can have better access to it.

I hear him let out a small throaty groan at the sound of his name. I smile at the sensation, before I start to run my hands down his front, stopping above his wound. "Charlie..." he whispers out, stopping everything he's doing before sitting up, he body weight no longer on me. "Jeff?" I whisper, confused at his sudden distance.

"I don't want this to be your first. You deserve something romantic. Not just a normal bedroom scene. You deserve something nice Charlie. I'm sorry if I just led you on, but I don't want to take you this way. I'm sorry." Jeff whispers, my eyes widening and watering. "Okay." I whisper, watching as he gets off the bed to go to the bathroom to do something.

That's when a tear slips out of my eye. I quickly stand up and shut the light off before laying down in the bed on my side, facing the door so he can't see me. I feel another tear fall from my eye as I close them. Soon, the waterworks begin. Does he not want me? Am I that unappealing? Was he purposely leading me on? I don't know what to do... I think to myself, quietly crying to make sure he can't hear it.

I hear the toilet flush in the bathroom along with the sink. I shake my head quickly, trying to calm myself. "Charlie? Are you asleep?" Jeff whispers, putting a hand on my arm. I hold my breath and quit moving. "I guess you are." he sighs, climbing in bed and getting comfortable; his arms going around my waist immediately. I let out the breath I was hold quietly, noticing how shaky it was.

"Goodnight Jeff." I whisper, my voice cracking a little. "Are you crying?" he whispers, getting ready to turn the light on. I pull the blanket up over my head to make sure that he can't see me. I hear the light turn on and Jeff sits up to look at me. "Charlie?" he questions again. I bite my lip to hold everything in. "Come out Charlie." he whispers, grabbing my hand--trying to pry the blanket out of my iron grip.

"Charlie. I apologized. I wanted to continue, but you deserve someone better than me, and someone who can be with you unconditionally without hurting you. I can't do that. We both know this." he whispers, finally getting the blanket off my face. Jeff turns my face with his finger and notices my tears. "Don't cry Charlie." Jeff groans, going to wipe my tears. "Don't touch me." I hiss, my tears giving away how upset I actually am. "Charlie." Jeff groans, going to wipe them away. "Don't. Touch me." I growl, standing up and walking out of the room.

I start to head downstairs alone in the dark. Once I make it to the living room, I fall onto the couch, the blanket that was on me earlier in the sun room, now in the living room along with the pillow. I quickly lay down and cover myself up, my hair falling in front of my face. "I just wish this was all over." I whisper, tears spilling from my eyes as I cry myself to sleep.
