~Jeff~

"I'm not afraid anymore.

I'm not afraid.

Forever is a long time."

I groan in annoyance again as I hear Charlie in the other room listening to music. "Turn that shit off." I yell for her to hear. "Sorry, but it's keeping me from knocking you out again. And distracting me from this pain in my arm." she bites back. "Oh please. You're all bitch with no bite." just then, she walks out with a baseball bat in her hand. I shake my head and tell her to put it down.

She huffs and goes back to cooking. After a couple minutes of silence, I hear a quiet ouch coming from the kitchen. I sigh and walk in to notice that her stitching has come on done and is bleeding again. "Fucking great Charlie. What the fuck did you do?" I ask pissed walking over to her grabbing her arm lightly.

"I'm sorry Jeff... I was reaching for a pot and it came undone." she whimpers while I pull her closer to me, inspecting the cut. "It's not bleeding as bad as earlier, just let me wrap it up this time. I mutter leaving to go find the first aid kit. I walk in with it and notice a few tears fall down her face. "J-jeff... I have a question..." she says while looking at me, getting ready to clean her wound again.

I sigh once more. "What Charlie?" "Can you maybe... kiss it all better?" she ask quietly, her face turning as read as a lobster. I crack up laughing. "You-" I say while trying to calm down. "-Expect me to kiss your wound all better like you're a baby?" this is just to damn precious. "Jeff... please? When I was younger my mom always did it, and still does to this day. It's just a bad habit." she whispers the rest of it. I sigh and walk over to her, carefully taking her arm and cleaning the blood off with a soft warm rag.

I throw it to the side and look in her face, noticing that her face is still red, meaning that she's waiting for me to kiss it better. "Only this once..." I say quietly; bring her arm up to my lips. Laying my lips against her skin, I can taste a little of her blood, which happens to be very sweet. And, I can taste a little of the body-wash that is left that she uses.

I start to kiss up her arm, until I get to the very start of it. I pull away from her arm, and stare into her face to see her reaction. Her entire face is red, redder than a lobster being baked to a crisp by a flamethrower. I didn't even take the time to notice that my face had a slight tinge to it as well. "Now. If we're done here,-" I start while wrapping her arm up. "-I'd like to go back to where I was and relax until dinner." is all I say while running out of the room.

"Why the hell did I do that?" I whisper to myself sitting on the couch. Confused of my previous actions.

~Charlie~

I can't believe that I just asked Jeff to kiss my arm better like the way he did! That's the most embarrassing thing I've ever done my entire life! Why am I so stupid? I look down at the neat patching job that he's done, before going back and cooking. I finish making spaghetti and make Jeff and I plates. I sigh and notice him asleep on the couch, with a pillow over his eyes.

I gulp, and gently shake his shoulder trying to wake him up, after I put the food on the table. "What?" he mumbles with his face in the pillow. "Dinner is done Jeff. I made spaghetti." I whisper moving out of the way. Jeff sits up and grabs my wrist, pulling me down to sit on the couch with me.

I start to whimper with the grip of his on my wrist. He lets go almost as soon as he heard the whimper. He grabs my hand gently this time and stares at the bruises, before gently leaning in and kissing them lightly. "Thank you Jeff. Dinner's done." I say one last time, before handing him his plate. "Thanks. Eat with me?" he says, more in a demand then a question. I nod and sit back and start to eat quietly, with Jeff watching me.
