Evelyn
Finally, the moment I had been dreading. School was over and I now had to go back to the Scevola's house. I had told my parents that I had a school thing to do so they weren't expecting me home till late. Cheyenne said she would walk home with me - I was so glad because I don't think I could stand it if Noah walked me home! Roman would have been okay except he was staying behind for soccer practice so he wasn't an option.
"Oh my goodness!" exclaimed Cheyenne when she saw me. "I still don't know your name!"
"It's Evelyn, Evelyn Rivers." I said back in a flat monotone voice.
"What a pretty name!" Cheyenne said. "By the way, please call me Chey."
"Okay." I replied
"Well I think today we'll start off by learning how to block people's auras. It's a bit easier than trying to learn to control powers straight off. Is that okay with you?"
"Yeah sure." I mumbled.
Chey got me practising putting up an invisible wall in my mind and letting everything else in my mind slide out while I concentrated. I was eventually able to block out the auras, although sometimes I could see occasional splashes of colour. At last I was able to leave for home where I ate something small and went straight to bed.
