A crooked smile is what I had this morning , I wasn't up to go to school .. but this is the day I see maya hopefully I have classes with her , at least one would be great, As I put my navy blue button up shirt I heard my playlist in the background as white noise , I fixed my hair and put my grey beanie on, I looked at myself in the mirror, this year I'm not Afraid, I'm not afraid of taking a step for what I want. Grabbed my chain and hanged it on my left side of my dark jeans.

Walked down stairs grabbed my keys and backpack and head to school, I picked up Farkel.

"Hey dude." He says jumping in

"Hey." I say looking at him jump in

I drove to school got there and parked , we got down and walked in to the halls of high school , at least were seniors now which is the good part of all this.

"Babe!" Riley says hugging farkle

"Hey." Farkel says smiling

I slowly walk away but they follow me like always ,

"Ugh so last night my uncle josh , you know josh well he came over with maya and she looks so different." Riley says

I pretend to not be listening

"Yes! Maya's back." Farkle says excited

Back from where?

"Seriously." Riley says annoyed "sorry." Farkel says as he leans next to my locker.

I turned to my left I see a familiar blonde with blue eyes, maya.

She had the locker next to me just like last year.

"DUDE!!!!!" Farkle says noticing her too and hugs her.

"Hey!" She says hugging him back , "holy..shit you look um .."farkle says "she looks what?" Riley asked "nothing." He says really fast.

I looked at her , she looked different she looked happy , her smile was wide and beautiful her hair was longer.

She looked at me and gave me a friendly smile, I smile at her as well.

Farkel and Riley left to class leaving me and maya there alone , talk about awkward.

"So..huckleberry how was the rest of your summer?" She asked nicely as she opened her locker , haven't heard her call me that in so long.

"It was interesting ." I say calmly "Where's your princess?" She asked laughing "I broke up with her." I say slowly , there was a silence "Oh..um I'm sorry." She says in Pity , "Why are you sorry you didn't do anything." I say laughing.

"Just taught that was the right thing to say." She says putting her notebooks in her locker

"Eh..so how about you and dopehead?" I asked not looking at her , "Hey! For your information it's josh and don't call him that." She says angry , "Oh please nothing good comes out of that guy." I say looking at her , "Ha..well that's good to hear from a person that doesn't even know him like I do." She says looking at me annoyed , "Don't need to I know he's no good." I say closing my locker "And your better?" She asked slamming her locker , damn right I'm better , "I'm sorry .. I shouldn't of said anything." I say calmly "Yeah I agree , your a great moment ruiner" she says walking away "I don't think that's a word." I say as she walks away "Whatever fair." She says half way down the hall, yeah well she's right.. I did ruin the little moment we were having.

Lunch came around , I sat with Riley and Farkel , as they made out I sat there really awkward , maya passed by the table talking to her boyfriends best friend Brandon, I rolled my eyes.

"Farkel." I say , no respond "Riley" I say no respond.

"Sup?" Maya says sitting next to me , "Hey maya." Farkel says smiling , are you fucking kidding me.

"So.. what are you guys doing this weekend?" She asked giddy

"Probably the usual." He answers

"Or...maybe not." Maya says smiling

"What are you talking about?" I asked

"Come to the party were throwing." She says biting her lip , eh parties.

"Cool, we'll be there." Farkel says

"Farkel!" Riley says , "if you guys have other plans like brush a unicorns hair or eat rainbows is cool." Maya says mocking Riley , Riley rolls her eyes, I laugh a little.

"Nah , dude we'll be there." Farkel says laughing , maya leaves Riley complains I sit there with thoughts on how am I going to get her back.
