Last night I couldn't really sleep. I didn't go ta sleep til one sum'n' in tha mornin'. Only cuz my mind was on Aug and nem. While I was sleep, I felt arms around me. It scared tha fuck outta me at first. Like...who moves dey hands and then randomly feel arms lol. When I opened my eyes I seen it was Aug. Sleep like he hasn't had sleep in three years lol. I turn around and wrap my arms around him and he kisses my forehead. But his eyes are still closed

Me: "Glad you made it hea' without gettin' hurt"

August: "I tol' you I would be okay. But I needa ask a question"

Me: "What?"

August: "Did you te-You know what fa'get it"

Then I opened my eyes and looked at him

Me: "Did I what?"

August: "Nun. Let it go"

Me: "Nahhhh. I wanna know" I said sittin' up and pushin' my hair back

He opened his eyes and looked at me

August: "Babe let it go"

Me: "No. I'm not gonna "let it go". You did dat on purpose. I hate when you do dat. You neva finish. You needa finish what chu was finna say"

August: "Did you tell me er'thang about yo conversation wit Chris?"

Me: "Oh hell. I shoulda juss let it go"

August: "Dis is what happens when you don't listen. But you wanted ta know and na you do. Don't avoid tha question"

Me: "Aug. I'm not avoidin' tha question. I was lookin' in yo eyes tha whole time. Doesn't dat tell you anythang?"

August: "Juss cuz you did, don't mean you were tellin' tha truth"

Me: "And you would know, huh? You're pretty damn good at it. I'm not like you Aug"

I can juss feel him lookin' at me

Me: "Damn. Aug-"

August: "Nah. You good. Don't worry about it"

He got up and went in tha bathroom. Afta like...five minutes, I finally decided ta get up. I have a big mouth. I can't help what comes out of it. Afta I brush my teeth and washed my face, I undressed and got in tha shower wit Aug. I wrap my arms around him and looked at him and he looked in my eyes

Me: "I'm sorry. I have a big mouth I can admit dat. But ta answer yo question, yes I tol' you er'thang. I didn't leave out one detail. I gave you a million percent tha truth of tha whole thang. Whateva he said, it was prolly ta piss you off. There is no moe ta tha conversation"

August: "At all?"

Me: "At all"

August: "Hea's tha deal. Tha shit...is ova wit. He's back ta his life. You're back ta yours. You run into him, go tha otha way. He say sum'n' ta you, don't respond. He hit chu up, delete tha message. Anythang dealin' wit him...don't react ta it. You're an Alsina no matta what. But one moe strike is all it takes, Mariah" He said lookin' in my eyes

I turn my head but he turned it back towards him and lifted my chin

August: "I juss need ta know I got chu"

Me: "You got me. All of me. My full attention"

He peck my lips and I kissed back and deepened it. I undastand what he's sayin'. And I undastand where he comin' from. I was tha same way wit him. Na tha tables are turned. And na...I know exactly what ta do. I juss hope tha shit don't back fire...
