Lost and Found(Part 2)

The City care hospital's corridor buzzed faintly with the sound of beeping machines and hurried footsteps while Ruhi sat outside the emergency room, her hands trembling in her lap. She kept replaying the moment in her mind, her voice cracking when she asked Ansh if he was her father..... the shock in his eyes.... the confusion that his face carried and then his body going limp, collapsing right in front of her with a sudden scream. Her sobs continued, feeling the ground beneath her cracking down. Her eyes are red from the continues crying, her trembling hands clutched the hem of her top on the lap. Just then Ivaan entered the waiting area, panting hard but his eyes softened when his gaze fell on Ruhi, "Rey please, dayan rakhna. Ghar mein drama mat hone dena please he gets disturbed quickly" (Rey please, take care of him and make sure there is no drama is happening in the house today, he will gets disturbed quickly) He immediately cut the call, "Ruhiiii" He muttered under his breath and rushed towards her, he knelt down on the floor right where Ruhi was sitting looking down at her lap sobbing badly. Ruhi jolted when she felt his cold hands claiming her trembling one, she looked up to meet his eyes which carried the worry for her. "Ivaan" She uttered and broke down again, "Shhhh! Ruhii. Don't cry. kuch nahi hoga Sir ko. I'm here okay" (Shhh! Ruhii. Don't cry. Nothing will happen to Sir. I'm here okay) Ivaan tries to comfort her, Ruhi didn't say anything but did the most unthinkable for Ivaan, she threw herself in his arms her hands are clutching the hem of his collar, her tears are soaking his shirt, he balanced himself by pressing down his hand on the floor for support, he hesitated before his his right hand found it's way wrapping around her waist. He caresses her back, neither of them spoke anything but her sobs and his silence did.

"Ohh babyyy! let's stay quiet like this" Reyana said to baby Ruhaan who just woke up from his evening nap, his doe eye wandered around clearly searching for his mumma. "I know baby, now you want your mumma right? but she's busy okay? tab tak aap yahan rehna theek hai umm?" (I know baby now you want your mumma right? but she's busy okay? till then you have to be here with us okay umm?" Reyana said to him as her car reached the Malhotra mansion. She slowly unbuckled her and baby's seat belt, "woww! aap toh sach mein bohut quiet ho" (Woww! you are indeed very quirt baby) She was surprised as the baby didn't cry. Stepping out of the car she walked inside holding the baby in her arms, taking a deep breath so goes inside the house, her gaze fell on her busy family members with their daily evening routine, staff moving about, Ritika instructing someone over phone, Vinay discussing something with Aarav, Natasha making sure the Dhruv and Saanvi weren't fighting over the video game. Reyana walked in, holding little Ruhaan in her arms, his tiny fingers are clung to her shoulder, wide-eyed, unaware of the storm he was about to cause. "yeahh, Dii aagayi" (Yeahh, She's here) Saanvi got up from couch throwing her gamepad away, but she stopped at her foot seeing her sister with a baby. "Rey! clinic ko ghar pe shift karne ka soch rahi ho kya? kaun hai ye baby" (Rey! are you planning to shift your shift to our home? who is this baby?) Dhruv asked getting up walking towards her which made the elder's attention fell o  Reyana and the baby. "Reyyyy! ye baby kiska hai?" (Reyyy! Who's baby is this?) Natasha asked, putting her half-emptied tea back on the table. "Guyssss guys relax.... main batati hoon. don't get into your wild theories" (Guysss guys relax.... I'll explain everything. don't get into your wild theories) Reyana, the ever calmed, walked to the center of the hall, her instinctive doctor-tone softened into something protective. She sat on the couch, holding the baby at ease on her lap, little Ruhaan's eyes peeked around clearly trying to recognize these new faces. "Okay guys! meet my little patient. it's Ruhaan. actually his mother Ruhi asked me to watch over him for a while, she's stuck with some emergency" Reyana explained, making her family members looks  at her with different expressions. Aarav's gaze flicked from Reyana to the boy. Something in those features, the innocent eyes, the tilt of his head, made his brows knit but he didn't say anything after all Reyana is his favorite child. Shrugging off his thoughts, "Ohh Okay!" he said trying to focus back on his file so as the other elders but Ritika felt something in her heart, seeing this tiny soul, She just stood still adoring him while Dhruv and Saanvi crowded Reyana, trying to gain Ruhaan's attention.
