Chapter 10: Fraternal Twins?!

•Desheaya's POV•

There was an uneasy silence as my mate kept me pressed against him. Every one turned their backs to us as he let me go from his grasp. He reached behind me and received a white t-shirt from, whom I'm guessing, is Lodi and slipped it on me. I turn to see who gave my mate the shirt and, yup, Lodi. I smile at him but quickly disappears when I jolt back around so my mate wouldn't get suspicious.

My mate picks me up bridal style and walks out of the water with Lodi Baywood right behind him. He sets me on my feet and peals off his damp long sleeve shirt. His muscles ripped all over. I felt the urge to trace every inch of the rips of his muscles but instead I diverted my eyes and head to the floor with my hands clasped behind me.

He was facing me but turned just the top part of his body to receive yet another white t-shirt. I glanced up and seen all his back and side muscles flex and my knees went weak. I fell to the floor, with me sitting on my legs, it gave me a little support. My mate hastily put on his dry shirt and knelt down to where I was.

"Are you okay?" He said as he inspected every inch of me. "I'm okay. I just got a little weak but I can walk." I explain as I brush off his massive hands. Goodness, even his hands are muscular! I began to stand steadily with his help and look to him. Behind me Lodi whispers "His name is Zion Deiono." And pulls back. I nod my head. I sensed Zion's fury when he realized that Lodi dared to move close to me and that fury grew when the beta whispered in my ear. So, I decided to warn Zion that it was nothing he should be worried about. "Well, shall we go? Ah, where exactly are we going?" I ask as we start on the small trail.

"To my pack of course." He winks. "But what about my beta? She's still here somewhere." I stop in my tracks to look around for her. "If she was truly here than wouldn't she have came out to greet us? And to ask what relations I had with her alpha?" He states curiously. "Ah- well...yeah I guess. But I'm not taking another step till we find her." Everyone tenses at my sudden stubbornness to their alpha. Zion glares at me "Shea, just go" Lodi whispers in my ear as he nudges me from behind. "No. I'm not leaving my beta!" Zion's glare turns to a scowl. I take a deep breath, shift my weight to my other foot, cross my arms over my chest, and return his scowl with intense rage boiling within me, daring him to say no.

"Desheaya Féontté, don't ask me how I know your name cause I just do." I look at Lodi and whisper "Baywood." He smirks shrugs "what can I say?" I roll my eyes and turn to face my mate again. He takes a deep breath and pinches the bridge of his nose. "I'm not going to risk my training wolves in an unfamiliar place. Very few people know about this part of the forest and I want to keep it that way. So, no Shea, we're not going to look for her. She's an experienced she-wolf, and he knows my where my pack is." He tells me without shame. He turns and starts to walk in the direction we were going. "Let's keep moving."

I clench my jaw and grind my teeth. My hands now at my sides and in fists. I blink my eyes to the left and make a run for it. As I run I feel Zion hot on my trail behind me. I shift and let Kayona take full reign. She ran as fast as she could. We both knew that we could never surpass the speed of our mate but she wasn't going to turn down a good run if it meant she could stretch out a bit.

Right when I thought he was about to pounce on me, I felt him fall back to allow me to run free...well, so I thought. I turned my attention forward and a smirk played on my lips. I certainly felt free, the breeze flowing through my pure white fur. If our mate were to safely capture us than wouldn't he have done so already? "I don't know Shea, this seems way to easy." Thanks Kay, glad to know you're on my side. She huffs and closes our bond line. Aw c'mon Kayona, I'm sorry. She sighs "It's okay, just be on guard alright." Yeah yeah, alright.
