Chapter 21: Moment of Truth

•Zion's POV•

It's been two and a half months since we started our search to the Sanders territory and my mind hasn't been the same since. I mean I'm sure I would've been a lot calmer if I hadn't known Shea was pregnant because I was pretty sure I would've been able to retrieve her without a scratch or bruise but if they found out that she was already pregnant with my child than things could get bad.

Alpha Jackson and Luna Adiko (Rose) told my parents and I that they knew who took her, it was the same person who'd kidnapped her and Jessica Pantene all those years ago. Former beta of the Skyhook Pack, Aqua Pantene, said it was his older brother, Blu Pantene who wanted revenge on the family who'd killed his evil mate. The Skyhook Pack forbid Blu's son, Ebony Pantene, to become the next beta since the Alpha at that time didn't trust Blu.

He was, of course, angry so he took Shea, the Alpha's only daughter and his niece Jessica. After he found out that she'd ran away from the Sanders territory, he went and searched for her. Needless to say that her mate was me, the neighboring Pack who made his, now deceased, mate a rouge from their Pack which gave Blu the perfect opportunity to get revenge on both Packs at once.

After Blu perfectly concealed his scent and where he kept Shea and Jess, everyone was forced to give up finding them. That same scent was there when he knocked his nephew, Xander, out and abducted my pregnant Shea! But this time...he didn't conceal his scent and whereabouts.

I can tell we got closer, though. I could start to feel my mates bond and her or our child's heartbeat. As I basked in our mates scent, my white wolf walked right into Alpha Jezreal Sanders.

I shifted back, "Alpha Jezreal?" I acknowledge, he nods, "Alpha Zion." He greeted but kept his head down. He gave a small 'excuse me' and started to pass me. I was already suspicious enough that none of his pack warned him of our arrival, he didn't seem to care either. It seemed to be too easy, I or anyone could easily walk in and take anything or take over- Blu.

I grind my teeth at the thought of how one man A BETA could do whatever he pleased with an entire pack! Alpha Jezreal passed me. I grew even more suspicious when his scent, as he passed me, smelt so similar to Shea's intimacy. I yanked him back in front of me. His wide eyes looked at me full with panic.

I growled, "What did Blu force you to do this time?!" My canines gnashing out at him. Rohan was ready to rip his head off for even touching our mate. "Now, Rohan, we need answers first. It's hard getting answers from a dead man." He calmed a little but my grip tightened on Alpha Jezreal's shirt.

He looked down, "I'm sorry Alpha Zion, Blu threatened me, my family, and my pack if I didn't..." he whimpered. "Didn't what?!" I demanded, my heart pounding. "If I didn't mate with her." A tear slid down his cheek. He could not say or do no more for I promptly took off his head.

I let his body fall, and walked a few paces towards our destination, I threw his head close to his body and glared at the approaching pack house, "Alpha, was that really necessary?" My beta, Lodi, mind linked me as he stepped over the dead Alpha's decapitated body making sure none of his paws stepped on him or his head. Lodi looks at his tear stained face, his eyes looking at Lodi but were void of life. Lodi scrunches his snout in disgust.

I shift back to wolf form and growl as an answer to Lodi's question. "I want to kill Blu Pantene myself." I declare as we press toward the pack house where I smelt Shea the most. Just as I reach the open meadow a wolf nocked me off my paws. I jump up just as another came at me. I growled as they tried to pounce on me.

Of course, it didn't work. I was a white wolf so I was more powerful than a normal Alpha which made me even more powerful than a beta. Even a beta that was any size Blu and his men were. After breaking the necks in most of Blu's men, I rushed over to the pack house. My adrenaline enhances when I suddenly feel panic in our mate bond.
